This is something I have pointed out countless times, and this time I hope I am heard.

People don't think about where all that money the banks lost came from. I keep telling you guys, it came from YOU.

Your 401-K. Your city and state treasurers. Your insurance company. Your college's endowment fund.

These, among others, are the investors who bought into all the toxic derivatives. And they all lost a shit ton of money. And that is a big reason why your city and state taxes went up. That is a big reason why your insurance went up. And that is a big reason why your college tuition went up.
