A Coventry man has been charged with assault after a fisherman was pushed into a pond in Swanswell Park.

Unemployed Brendan Cleary, aged 45 from Gloucester Street, Spon End, will appear before magistrates this afternoon (Tuesday 29 September) to face charges of assault and criminal damage after the man’s fishing equipment was damaged in the attack.

Footage of the incident was shared on YouTube and received thousands of views before being removed. A second man is still being sought in connection with the assault and police are urging him to come forward.

I didn't think it was very funny anyways. It would have been funny if he FELL into the pond but someone running up behind him and pushing him in is just not too funny to me.
