Fox Business Network anchor/curmudgeon Don Imus colorfully ripped apart Republican frontrunner Newt Gingrich, calling the former Speaker of the House “disgusting.” “He’s a fat, repulsive pig! I hate to be so harsh,” Imus sniped. “You go out in the woods and find a piece of old, dead wood, you lift it up and underneath there’s a bunch of bugs crawling around and white stuff…that’s Newt Gingrich.”

Co-anchor Bernard McGuirk piled on the Republican candidate as well. “What are these GOP voters thinking? That he might have a chance against Obama?” McGuirk incredulously asked. “Taylor Swift will be in porno movies before he beats Obama! He’ll never beat Obama.”

“Taylor Swift in porno movies!?” lustily exclaimed Imus.

“They will turn Gingrich into Coach Sandusky before the election occurs,” McGuirk continued. “He’ll never win, he doesn’t have a shot!”

The only one that truly comes close to beating Obama is Mitt. So running Gingrich is like running nearly anyone else; besides the fact that newt may keep more of the base inline and come closer then anyone besides mitt.

Newt is intelligent and we need someone with good idea's for this country to remain great.

Government Shutdown: Polls Show Voters Blamed GOP For 1995 Crisis

Two days after the shutdown began, Republican Speaker Newt Gingrich met with reporters and appeared to blame the breakdown in talks that led to the shutdown as the result of his being snubbed by Clinton on a return flight from Israel the previous week. As the Washington Post reported on November 17, 1995:

"This is petty," [Gingrich] told reporters. "[But] you land at Andrews [Air Force Base] and you've been on the plane for 25 hours and nobody has talked to you and they ask you to get off the plane by the back ramp… . You just wonder, where is their sense of manners? Where is their sense of courtesy?"​

The remarks produced a firestorm of protest from Democrats, including a White House release of a photo showing Clinton and Gingrich talking during the flight.
