Is it true that Shakespare was gay?

Wonder what Anne Hathaway, and his 3 children would have thought about it?

Just saw this on another site.

No William Shakespeare wasn't gay OR a black man.

However, Christopher Marlowe possibly was Bisexual and also wrote many of the literary works that William Shakespeare then claimed as his own.

Christopher Marlowe was the literary genius, not William Shakespeare.

The guy's been dead a long time. Who cares if he was or wasn't gay?

Well, if he was, he could vote dem, and any backlash could be called bigotry

Did I say he wasn't gay?

I asked what his wife and children would have thought about it.

I would like to see some sort of proof he was gay.

Doesn't seem to be any.

Just baseless rumors

WS may have been bisexual. A weak case can be made on the "dark Lady" character in his Sonnets.

Marlowe was great, WS borrowed very little from Marlowe. Any such suggestion was dismissed long ago by the scholars.

Perhaps the question here is why are gays better than Republicans?

Gays are Republicans as well as Democrats or centrists.

Gays are no better and now worse than straights.

Somebody elect you the representative of everyone who uses USMB?...No they did not.

Ok, then you tell us. What possible difference would it make?

It's a factoid that some of the 36,000+ members of USMB might be interested in.

If you're not interested, why not just ignore the thread. Again, there are over 36,000+ members here.
