My biological family is French. I am always ashamed when I go to Quebec that my French is so bad. When I attended a family funeral, I had no idea what family members were saying, but I could pick out the odd word here or there. I speak French well enough to know what they're talking about, but no idea what they're saying about it, and not enough to participate in the conversation. I would never claim to speak French, much less speak fluently in French, and even I speak better French than Melania. I know a lot more than Bonjour. Je m'appelle Dragonlady.
