I love the mountains and I live on the lake. I've loved bass fishing all my life. I retired after 41 years with the same company. Believe it or not there are some Democrats in TN. They have some sense.

Yet another conversation that merely amounts to playground name calling.

There is a conversation to be had regarding voting habits that seem to be against ones own self interest but you can't have a productive conversation without first changing the tone. The opening post could just as well have been "f - you, do you want to call each other names for a while?" and of course the bait is taken "f - you buddy, you know I do".

There is no reason why there can't be a general agreement starting with say, one word that everyone agrees not to use. Anyone may suggest what that word may be. Practice a community standard of not using that one word and the tone of the conversation moves up a tiny notch. Build from there. That's my suggestion.

It is a fascinating dilemma, dirt poor but the fantasy sustains you? Anyone see 'Game Change?' Palin wanted so badly to stir up the pot of hatred and bigotry but McCain then wouldn't have it. For many it is their foes rather than their sense that guides them. And politicians can always point back to those foes to deflect real reasons away into a place where discussion ends.

The movie was based on the views of the director, producer, screen writer and author of the book. Why is it the left hate women that aren't submissive?

Actually, it was based on the views and experiences of the right wing. A prominent player in the move was "Nicole Wallace", press secretary for George Bush. She is married to the guy who suggested Sarah Palin. Both Nicole and her husband have said the movie was so accurate it made them squirm.

I read a great article about this topic once. Poor people down south are used to being poor. They don't care about jobs going oveseas because they don't have jobs that can be sent overseas. They don't care about breaking unions and stealing pensions because they can't relate.

They actually look up to a guy like Romney who only pays 12% on his taxes while they pay over 30.
