Despite improving job growth and an extended Republican primary fight dividing his would-be opponents, President Obama is heading into the general election season on treacherous political ground, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll.

Oh it's going to be a big piss, vinegar and bloody match up in the mud come 2012. Lots of money being spent this time around.

It is a fascinating dilemma, dirt poor but the fantasy sustains you? Anyone see 'Game Change?' Palin wanted so badly to stir up the pot of hatred and bigotry but McCain then wouldn't have it. For many it is their foes rather than their sense that guides them. And politicians can always point back to those foes to deflect real reasons away into a place where discussion ends.

If by that, you mean that we Southerners clearly understand that unions, liberals, and democrats are NOT our friends, you're right. Don't like that? Then stay up North (or get out of the South) and leave us the hell alone!

Yea, there are Yankees and Damn Yankees. Yankees live up North and come to visit, Damn Yankees come to stay. After they get here, they want to change everything to fit their way of life. I'm proud to say there are a lot of strong willed Southern folks that stand their ground on some things.

If you don't like the South, just keep your butt up where things are the way you like them, we're doing just fine without you.

Well then I'm just a Yankee. Nice to see in the winter. Even maybe to visit for a month or two... but it's too damn hot for me the other 10 months of the year.

Then again, I've stated many times I'd move to Cleveland or Buffalo for the weather first.
