Yep, and during a inquiry is when the hard evidence is dug-up or not.....Right now it's more in the "strong reason to believe" mode, thus necessitating the inquiry.

Actually there is plenty of evidence and testimonies. Granted, the evidence is circumstantial and testimonies are "he said she said"

However, in any situation, there is nothing BUT circumstantial evidence and "he said she said". It is that evidence that opens the door to investigate.

For example....a woman is missing. Her husband cries and begs for her safe return. The neighbors, however tell the police they were constantly fighting. The sister of the missing woman says her sister was concerned her husband may kill her one day.

THAT is circumstantial evidence....and he said she said.

But it is that evidence that opens the door to investigate the husband.

That is how it works.

Out of curiousity, because I don't recall, was there polls taken to see who supported or opposed the Democrats impeaching Trump and if the majority had opposed, would the Democrats have cared at all?

If not, then why would Republicans care what the media has to say about any of this? Biden is corrupt, the evidence shows his corruption, if you believe in the rule of law, you impeach based on the fact he is corrupt, not on the basis of a poll.
