"I'm Exhausted Of Defending You"

i knew one of the wingnuts would post that.

did you see WHY she feels she has to defend him?

HE HASN"T GONE FAR ENOUGH LEFT!!

lol..

so i'm pretty sure she's not voting for one of your rightwingnut wack-a-doodles.

If you listened to her words, that's definitely NOT what she was saying...

This CFO and veteran was complaining about the "change" she voted for to help the middle class... A change in economic (she is a CFO, remember) policies of spend, spend, spend... Her words were of a decided economic nature... 2 children in private school, looking for some relief for the middle class... Didn't you hear her talk of the economic recession taking an enormous toll on her family and going back to hot dogs and beans?

That was NOT about not having a public option, DADT, and closing GITMO... It was NOT about Barry not being liberal enough...

You can pretend it was, though...:cuckoo:

i heard exactly what she said. she said he didn't do enough to 'change the world for people like her'.

well, you know what... the rightwingnut loons have been shrieking for two years that he's a commie, socialist kenyan anti-colonialist :cuckoo:

if he's been so radical, then her world would have been changed.

you know... like there'd have been single payor... and gitmo would be closed... and there'd be real jobs programs.

you know, THAT kind of thing.

and you can pretend it was about anythig else.

and keep your :cuckoo: for yourself, my friend.

The quote you stated she said does not exist.
She stated she was "tired of defending the mantle of change that she voted for." This means has has not done the changes she voted for but anything else you glean from that is just partisan hyperbole. Bottom line, she is unhappy with his policies. He has done nothing for the middle class in a helpful way. His policies, while cloaked in the "get the big corporations" really only hurts the MC.
Why is it so hard for you lefties to accept that Obama simply does not know what he is doing and his idealogical views are damaging to the country. Do you so badly want him to succeed that you are unable to admit his failures. He has done some things right but if the left were to be totally bipartisan and honest, they could admit his massive failures that the majority of the country is suffering from.

i heard exactly what she said. she said he didn't do enough to 'change the world for people like her'.
Please type her words that led you to that conclusion... I already typed the words she said that made me draw the economic conclusion I did..

The far-right does not speak for all middle class Americans... This woman was being honest about the burdens her middle-class family was suffering through, and it WASN'T because Barry isn't "left enough"...

THAT wasn't the gist of her words... Not at all... If it were she would have mentioned at least one thing he should have done... Her concerns were that the economic troubles facing middle-class Americans are real and the (economic) "change" she was looking for hasn't happened... She's right... Just more of the failed spend what you don't have policies of the previous administration...

I don't need to pretend... The reality of what she was saying is loud and clear reality... One of the reasons the democratics will be spanked brutally in November...

and keep your :cuckoo: for yourself, my friend.
You're not cuckoo, but your conclusion was and is way out there in Far Left Field if you think this woman was upset because Barry hasn't been "left enough"...

you think she was concerned with economic policies of 'spend, spend, spend'? you're imposing some tea party nuttiness on this woman who was practically crying she was so upset?
that is one of the silliest things i've ever heard.

she wanted the world to change. she wanted the middle class to improve. that wasn't ever going to happen quickly after the destruction of our economy for the prior eight years.

she thought she had a black savior as a president. she is disappointed he's just a politician.

and ultimately, it doesn't matter, because she's still not voting for one of your candidates.

You are assuming she is a hard core leftie. She is not. I heard her talking to Shawn Hannity on talk radio this afternoon...where she clearly stated that she doesn't view politicians by their party affiliation...but by their ideas. She also stated that she thought the tea party has alot of "valid points" worthy of discussion and consideration.

She also said that she thought her question to the president would help him out...because she was expecting a "brilliant" "well thought out" response...and she was disappointed that she pretty much got a non answer instead.

As the CFO of a Veterans Services Co. isn't she basically one of those big government money suckers you want eliminated? 2 kids in private school on the taxpayers dollar?

As a working class person I consider her a whiner.

What makes you assume she is not paying for her children's education on her own...by making sacrifices in other areas...such as vacations or other personal effects? People do do this you know.

Her salary is not paid for by the private sector.

When did private school become "middle class"? If she were paying for her children's school by making sacrifices in other areas, why is she whining at the President, who has very little to do with the economy other than as a cheerleader, about the choices she has made in life? When I was spending 25% of my gross on school for my child, I certainly didn't feel it was the President's job to help me out with that.

We all make choices. The Presidents job is not to support or enable every choice every American makes. It is to be a Head of State to represent our country in dealings with other States.

....
Here is some of what she said:
"I'm one of your middle class Americans. And quite frankly, I'm exhausted. Exhausted of defending you, defending your administration, defending the mantle of change that I voted for," a woman told President Obama at a town hall.

"My husband and I have joked for years that we thought we were well beyond the hot dogs and beans era of our lives, but, quite frankly, it's starting to knock on our door and ring true that that might be where we're headed again, and, quite frankly, Mr. President, I need you to answer this honestly. Is this my new reality?," she added.

.... and keep your :cuckoo: for yourself, my friend.
I think House has properly comprehended what the woman said. Obviously the 'cuckoo' doesn't apply to House.

The wear and tear of hopey and changey is finally taking affect on some of the obama defenders

Town Hall Questioner To Obama: "I'm Exhausted Of Defending You".
Not a prob!!

There are many-more-of-us, who're "vets" o' the Clinton-impeachment "skirmishes".....who (obviously) have more experience than her and know who we're dealing-with.

So,now working for the government is bad? Doesn't matter if her check comes from the government...the fact is she works for her money. Why do you want all of these government jobs created,if you are going to turn around a poo poo all of the folks who fill them? And since when does this mean a person has to answer to someone like you,if they want their kids to go to private school or not? It's her choice to do so,and none of your business. Middle class folks certainly can (and do) send their kids to private school by making the choice to give up other things...such as eating out, vacations etc...

She was concerned about the ecomomy because the recession hit her family hard...not the fact that Oblah blah doesn't pay for her children's private school tuition...do you even listen to what people say when they talk?

She is speaking to a larger issue. That is the decline of the middle class. The economy is more than a bunch of numbers on a chart. It is people raising families, trying to educate their children, affording a home, paying your medical bills.

It is becomming harder and harder for the middle class to achieve the American dream. They look at their parents and realize they work just as hard but have less to show for it. They look at where they were ten years ago and realize their lot in life has not improved.

The country is in a rapid escallation in the gap between the rich and those who make them rich. We have just spent a lost decade of economic growth. The workers saw no improvement (or lost ground) while the rich just got richer

No Democrats voted with Bush in the last decade, never happened.

Richest people in America, Democrats and government workers.

How much of the economy do you want the president to control? Should he be responsible for this woman's economic status?

You know Hopey Changey is firing some of his lackeys after this debacle. I'm sure he truly believed his lackeys packed that place with loyal Hopey Changey "Blame BOOOOOOOOOSH" sycophants. His face said it all. When she started ripping him,you could see him trying to quietly slither away. A truly classic moment in time.

What part of the economy did you hold the last administration accountable for?
