I lived in southern Cali for a few years. It's cyclical and has nothing to do with "climate change". Drought dries the foliage, followed by fires which destroy the undergrowth, followed by rain which causes mud slides due to the loss of undergrowth during the fires. Winds have not changed and sometimes we have strong winds during fires. Amazing how our environment is cyclical. That's one of the first things one learns in Environmental Science.

Well, considering the winds were named by the Spanish who controlled California 250 years ago. Maybe it was their donkeys who caused the climate change to bring them about?

There is far more flatulence coming out of Sacramento than from livestock in the state.
