If ICE deports illegal-alien parents with US-born kids, are they the ones "breaking up the family"?

Illegal alien parents have two choices if they have minor children and are about to be deported. They could leave their child(ren) with a relative who is a legal resident or citizen of the U.S., or they can take the child(ren) back to their home country until the child(ren) reach legal age, at which time the child(ren) can return to the U.S. as is their birthright.
Looks like even the liberals - at least the few who address the actual topic of the thread - agree with the OP that it's the kids' illegal-alien parents are responsible for the predicament their US-born kids find themselves in.

So why do the more fanatic leftists keep wailing that it's ICE that's splitting up families? When in fact the parents are the ones who caused it to happen, knowing full well what they were doing when they enterd the country illegally and produced kids here?

Who does Obama remind me of when he piles all the kids into empty train boxcars???

These liberals go full Nazi on a regular basis. Dare to disagree with the liberal world view and their inner Nazi pops right out.

I bet those parents sacrificed more to live in this country than your bitchass did Acorn.
Ill bet not.
most of us here served in the military, we have paid taxes our whole life, taxes that were used to build the schools and roads that the illegals use for free.
They sacrificed very little to come over here and use what we built while demanding we cater to them.
as far as those children? the U.S would only be breaking up the illegals family if the U.S deported the criminal parents while refusing to allow the spawn to leave. If a family is split, it is the fault of the illegal parents.
sacrifice my ass, fuck those bean eating bastards. what makes anyone think they would be willing to do anything to maintain or protect the U.S when they have already abandoned their own country when things got uncomfortable

157,000 Latino-Americans currently serve in the US military.

And, you've never eaten beans?

What does that have to do with illegals?

best I can figure is that he is pointing out how much it is costing the taxpayer to supply beans to the military now, and also the secondary cost of fumigation of the tight living/working quarters on a ship due to the resulting smell that comes from that many men after mass consumption of previously mentioned beans.

Happens a lot these days. Illegal alien parents who produced kids in the U.S., get busted and deported. What happens to their U.S. citizen kids? Especially young kids, barely past toddler stage?

An adult man crosses the border illegally, and lives here. He marries someone, say another illegal alien. They have kids here. The kids are U.S. citizens under the current interpretation of the 14th amendment, since they were born on U.S. soil.

Then the man (and maybe his wife) get busted by ICE, proven to be illegal aliens (which they in fact are), and get listed for deportation.

What happens to the kids?

The kids are U.S. citizens, no doubt about it. ICE has no grounds whatever for deporting them. But the parents are unquestionably illegal aliens, and the law is clear, the parents must be deported. Must the family be broken up? Who says so?

I've hear some people protest that it's inhuman for ICE to separate the kids (who are, say, 3 and 4 years old by now) from their parents. But is it ICE who is actually doing that?

This man knew before he ever came here, that he was breaking U.S. law, and was subject to deportation if caught. And his wife, if she is also an illegal alien, knew the same about herself. And when they were making kids here on U.S. soil and delivering them, they knew the same was still true.

It's not ICE who is planning to split up this family. It is the man and his wife, knowing that he and she might be booted out at any time for breaking U.S. immigration law, and that any kids they produced while living illegally in America, would be citizens NOT subject to deportation. They knew all these things going in. And one must assume they planned for them. (If they didn't plan, whose fault is that?)

So, what did this man and his wife plan would happen to their U.S. kids if and when they (the parents) got busted and deported? What plans did they make about what should happen to their kids? The kids are 3 and 4 years old now. They are considered U.S. citizens and have the legal right to stay in this country. Of course, they can't stay alone in the house their parents were just deported out of, if there are no other responsible adults around - the kids are just 3 and 4 years old. Of course, the kids also have the legal right to go with their parents back to the parents' home country.

The parents knew going in, that their own deportation was possible and legal... and even just. WHAT DID THEY PLAN FOR THEIR KIDS if that were to happen to them?

Did they plan that those kids would come back to the parents' home country with them? Or did they plan that the kids would stay with other (legal) family, however distantly related, in the U.S.? Or...? What DID these parents plan, for the time when the parents got busted?

Where does anyone get the idea that the government is responsible for the kids?

The parents are responsible for their kids. What have they planned?

Pretty simple. Send the kids back with them.

You mean, change present immigration law, which doesn't currently authorize government to send the U.S.-born kids to another country?

No, I mean follow the current law and send them all back. Kind of like the lion (before Bammer) did in 93 with this kid here.

Just heard on TV some illegal-alien advocate, making the same old fake argument to the same old microphones while expressing the same old "outrage".

"What will this plan do to the children of illegal parents, who don't know if their mother will be coming home tonight? Will she be deported? It strips these kids away from their parents, this is horrible, we just can't do this, this is not America!!!"

Well, she got one part right anyway. among all the parts she got wrong:

This is not America, all right.

Instead, this is people from a foreign country, who came here or stayed here illegally, breaking our laws, and then producing kids to be born in the U.S. while the parents are liable for deportation any time. The parents knew this going in, that they were breaking the law and might be deported any time. Yet the decided to produce kids here anyway, thus putting them into great risk of finding their parents jailed and deported without warning.

Yes, this is not America. Americans would never do this. But it IS what these illegal alien parents from other countries, chose to do.

And now, from the screeching I heard on TV, it sounds like the worst has happened. The parents got busted and slated for deportation, leaving their kids in limbo. Due to the parents breaking the laws and subjecting themselves to deportation, and then producing kids who might get abandoned when it happens. The kids are U.S. citizens, they have done nothing wrong, and the U.S. Government has no authority (or reason) to kick them out of the country.

What did the screeching advocate on TV propose to do? What did these illegal-alien parents plan to do with their kids if the deportation they knew would eventually come, finally came?

The screeching advocate on TV didn't address these questions. She merely kept screeching, as though it was not the parents' fault.

Looks like, in addition to breaking the law, the parents picked a lousy advocate to boot.

What should be done with these kids?

AND WHO SHOULD DECIDE THAT? The government can't, it has no jurisdiction.

Yes, but the issue has to be addressed humanely. Trump spoke about that yesterday in his press conference. But these folks are intentionally violating US law. And that has to be stopped. Illegal Immigration does need to be ended. I welcome folks to my country, but they'll have to do it the legal way.

Like prisoners starving themselves to get their way. If the authorities have hearts they would give in and not let their prisoners die from hunger. Give me a tv or I won't eat. Illegals are creating the kids because they want the rest of us to care more about what happens to their kids then they themselves care.

Yes, but the issue has to be addressed humanely.
Really? It should have been "addressed humanely" years ago, by the parents either not breaking our immigration law, or not producing kids once they did break the law. I can't see any other "humane" solution, can you?

Illegals should be put on notice they need to make arrangements for their children if they are deported. They either take them with them or appoint a guardian, any lawyer can do the forms. Simple as that.
