If gun control is good, why is gun crime highest in the places with the strictest gun laws?

Why do some places with really strict gun control laws have more gun violence than states with lax gun control laws?

Short answer..................there is an open border system between the states, so it is easy to go to Georgia to buy a whole bunch of guns where the laws are lax, and then simply transport them to Chicago where the laws are strict.

You don't even have to go through customs, simply drive up to the place where you can sell them and make some cash.

The premis is false . Conpare cities in gun nut states wh cities in gun control states .

Chicago is an outlier because of its big gang problem .

Which proves that gun control laws don't work. Why have them?

Gun control laws do work. But you need to have centralized federal control with such laws when you have open borders among states.

The current system of gun control laws we have don't work, because they vary from state to state. If you want to have effective gun control, you have to federalize the laws, otherwise the problem will persist. People in areas who can't buy guns will simply drive to where they can and bring them back home.

Actually the founding fathers said we could "bear arms", they did not mention guns at all. If you want to go by the strict wording then there should be no restriction on any "arm" at all.

It's a lack of respect for human life behind the senseless murders that we see in Chicago and many other Dem-controlled cities. I am willing to bet that the majority of thugs doing the killing are not NRA members and most don't buy guns legally.

I highlighted your error for you.

This is not the UK, this is not Sweden, and this is not Australia.

We are the United States of America and those studies do not matter as they do not apply.
