’If Abortion is About Women’s Rights, Then What Were Mine?

Which statement do you agree to?

Personhood means:

(a) any human (or non-human) agent who: (1) possesses continuous consciousness over time; and (2) who is therefore capable of framing representations about the world, formulating plans and acting on them.

(b) What is crucial about agents is that things matter to them.

(c) What is crucial morally is the being of a person, not his or her functioning. A human person does not come into existence when human function arises, but rather, a human person is an entity who has the natural inherent capacity to give rise to human functions, whether or not those functions are ever attained.

(d) It is because an entity has an essence and falls within a natural kind that it can possess a unity of dispositions, capacities, parts and properties at a given time and can maintain identity through change.

(e) that the concept of a person is intimately connected to free will, and describes the structure of human volition according to first- and second-order desires:

(f) Besides wanting and choosing and being moved to do this or that, [humans] may also want to have (or not to have) certain desires and motives. They are capable of wanting to be different, in their preferences and purposes, from what they are. Many animals appear to have the capacity for what I shall call "first-order desires" or "desires of the first order," which are simply desires to do or not to do one thing or another. No animal other than man, however, appears to have the capacity for reflective self-evaluation that is manifested in the formation of second-order desires.

(g) What if personal identity is constituted in, and sustained through, our relations with others, such that were we to erase our relations with our significant others we would also erase the conditions of our self-intelligibility?

(h) “person” as being a conscious, thinking being, which knows that it is a person (self-awareness).

(i) person are as follows: (1) is alive, (2) is aware, (3) feels positive and negative sensations, (4) has emotions, (5) has a sense of self, (6) controls its own behaviour, (7) recognises other persons and treats them appropriately, and (8) has a variety of sophisticated cognitive abilities.

(j) "member of the species homo sapiens who is born alive at any stage of development."

Um....you progressive Dumbocrats started slavery. We conservatives stopped it. And we did it using the U.S. Constitution.

The Republicans of 1860 weren't "Conservatives". Conservatives were the guys who wanted to continue slavery.. which started long before there was a United States, but never mind.

Did you learn your history from a coloring book?

Again...you progressive Dumbocrats attacked the U.S. because you wanted to keep people enslaved. We conservatives kicked your ass and ended slavery.

Again- I think you are a little confused. As your hero Rush says- words mean things.

Conservative - Wanting to maintain the status quo
Progressive - Wanting to change things.

Now, Slavery had been the Status Quo that the South wanted to conserve despite national and international calls against it. The radical, progressive (at that time) Republican Party wanted to end slavery, and the Conservative Democrats in the South said that if a Republican were elected, they were out!

Happy to have cleared that up for you, Poodle, you looked a little confused.

Like you progressives, Japan, muslims, etc., they learned it is a bad idea to attack Americans.

Okay, let's look at this bit of craziness.

The Native Americans were here first. We took their lands, gave them treaties protecting their rights, and then violated those treaties... this is nothing to be proud of.

Comparing them to enemies who attacked us because of our dumb policies and lack of attention to world events is a bit disingenuous.

Again, did you learn your history from a coloring book? Did they still have "Indian Red" as a crayon color?

Your propaganda is nothing if not comical!

Conservative: champion of liberty and small, limited government
Progressive: champion of oppression, control, and totalitarian government

The Native Americans were here first. We took their lands
We need a show called “high school dropouts say the darnedest things”. It would be a hit and you would be a legend.

The Native Americans lived across the U.S. in small tribes operating in very small territories. The overwhelming majority of this nation was unclaimed (unoccupied) land. Almost 100 years before we even declared independence from England and founded the United States, France “discovered” and claimed almost 50% of the U.S. That was in 1682, sparky. It was later sold to us in in 1803 in what became known as “The Louisiana Purchase”.

Maybe I can "discover" where you live & take your land.

Wow, you are so fucking stupid. little territories?

What does Joe Biden, for example, care if we will not allow 3rd trimester abortions?

If you can’t figure out within 8 weeks whether you want the baby or not, you should probably just kill yourself and do us all a favor.

Wow, you are so fucking stupid. little territories?
Oh....how cute! RealDick drew a map in class today. Of course, it’s not accurate. But 1st graders are simply focusing on creativity and fine motor skills.

Dumb ass...that much land isn’t even occupied today. And we have like 30,000x’s the population of the various Native American tribes. Moron.

You mean other than...genocide of Native AMericans?
Like you progressives, Japan, muslims, etc., they learned it is a bad idea to attack Americans.
Castle Doctrine gave them the right. You assfucks love the castle doctrine, right?
The Castle Doctrine applies to the interior of living quarters (houses, apartments, etc.) and automobiles. Because you’re ignorant of law like all left-wingers, I’m willing to extend that to soft-shell shelters such as tepees for the sake of your pitiful argument. Nobody invaded tepees snowflake.

Wow... did you just rationalize genocide, buddy?

Okay, let's try this one. "Poles lived across central Europe in small villages operating in other territories, and were claimed by Prussia, Russia and Austria.... Later on, Germany invaded and wiped them out."

The country wasn't unclaimed or unoccupied. DId you learn your history from a Stormfront coloring book?

Yes, please try that one. You did! And it just failed (much like you)!

Poland was an established nation, snowflake. They had official borders, government, and citizenship. That was not the case with the small, fragmented tribes.

Want to try again snowflake? Watching you flail wildly before drowning in your own stupidity is priceless.

Castle Doctrine gave them the right. You assfucks love the castle doctrine, right?
Naw, man, that's just for white people. Don't you love it when they out their racism?
Not as much as all of us enjoy watching your left-wing lunatics desperately throw shit at a wall while praying that something sticks.

Before dropping to your knees to fellate your fellow wing-nut, you should probably check out post #156 above. It obliterated his absurd stab at hiding behind the Castle Doctrine.
