You really must learn to type a sentence.
It should have read, "You must have a degree in idiot's history".

    Hope that helps. :)

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- Israeli occupation authority (IOA) has recently escalated its arbitrary and aggressive measures against the eastern regions in Yatta town south of Al-Khalil.

Local sources recalled that Israeli war minister Ehud Barak had ordered the confiscation and demolition of the area in order to establish a military buffer zone for the Israeli army.

A large Israeli force has been training in the early hours on Tuesday in a number of Palestinian villages threatened to be demolished and confiscated in Mosafer Yatta region southern the occupied city of Al-Khalil.

Rateb Al-Jabour, coordinator of the Popular Committee against the Wall and Settlements in Yatta, affirmed in a press interview that Israeli soldiers in dozens of military vehicles had stormed Khirbet Janab located in the outskirts of the city of Beersheba, where they searched the region and forced the families to leave it.

Jabour pointed out that the Israeli military training in that area aims at pressuring Palestinians in the region in order to force them to leave it, and thus evict more than 1200 Palestinians from their lands estimated at 45 thousand dunums.

On the other hand, settlers of "Havat Moon" settlement, established on the Palestinian village of "Tawanh" east of Yatta southern Al-Khalil, stormed an agricultural land where they uprooted ten olive trees, which represents an important source of livelihood for the owner family.

The IOF and settlers have escalated recently their aggression against the people of the eastern regions of Yatta in order to force residents to leave the area.

The city is most notable for containing the traditional burial site of the biblical Patriarchs and Matriarchs and is therefore considered the second-holiest city in Judaism after Jerusalem. The name "Hebron" traces back to two Semitic roots, which coalesce in the form ḥbr, having reflexes in Hebrew and Amorite and denoting a range of meanings from "colleague", "unite", "friend" or "to be noisy". In the proper name Hebron, the original sense may have been alliance.[16]

The Hebron of the Bible was centered on what is now known as Tel Rumeida, while its ritual centre was located at Elonei Mamre.[28] It is said to have been wrested from the Canaanites by either Joshua, Judah or Caleb.[29] The town itself, with some contiguous pasture land, is then said to have been granted to the Levites of the clan of Kohath, while the fields of the city, as well as its surrounding villages were assigned to Caleb,[30][31] who expels the three giants, Sheshai, Ahiman, and Talmai, who ruled the city. Later, the biblical narrative has King David reign from Hebron for some seven years. It is there that the elders of Israel come to him to make a covenant before Yahweh and anoint him king of Israel.[32] It was in Hebron again that Absalom has himself declared king and then raises a revolt against his father David.[33] It became one of the principal centers of the Tribe of Judah and was classified as one of the six traditional cities of refuge for the slayer.[34]

In 1099, Jews helped to defend Jerusalem against the Crusaders. In Haifa, the Jews almost single-handedly defended the town against the Crusaders, holding out for a whole month, (June–July 1099).[15] At this time there were Jewish communities scattered all over the country, including Jerusalem, Tiberias, Ramleh, Ashkelon, Caesarea, and Gaza. Jews were not allowed to hold land in the Crusader period and concentrated their efforts on commerce in the coastal towns during times of quiescence. Most of them were artisans: glassblowers in Sidon, furriers and dyers in Jerusalem.[15]

Maimonides wrote that in 1165 he visited Jerusalem and went up on to the Temple Mount and prayed in the "great, holy house".[17] Maimonides established a yearly holiday for himself and his sons, the 6th of Cheshvan, commemorating the day he went up to pray on the Temple Mount, and another, the 9th of Cheshvan, commemorating the day he merited to pray at the Cave of the Patriarchs in Hebron.
