I voted Republican too, in 1980 and 1984. Hey, I was young and stupid. Like most sensible people, I grew out of that phase. However, I'm still doing penance for it.

What a sad world we live in when I have to vote republican. Especially when I am poor. But there are even poorer people in the world who want to come here and share in what little I get. Which eventually means my getting even less. But I am willing to throw myself on the bonfire to help keep that from happening. Though I only voted republican for the senate seats. The reason I voted for republicans in the major offices is that Obama said that he wanted to wait until after the election do do an executive order thing about illegal immigration and make it easier for illegal invaders to come here. To have done so before the election could have brought out more people to vote against their party who don't want to be part of Mexico. It would make me so happy if somebody assassinated that piece of shit. Not that it would do a lot of good. Because he is as much of a puppet for the rich as republicans are.

Just want to point out he actually doesn't want an opportunity to do better himself but not willing to share what the government will hand him with others. He voted for not only his government handouts but to keep others from depleting his own welfare gains. That's a democrat all day long.

I suppose things are just "swell" with you. The millions of jobs we lost to foreign scabs with extrememy lax environmental laws probably means nothing to you. According to one website, there are 101 million unemployed Americans. But as long as you yourself get by, that's all that matters. But some of us have dignity.

Dignity does not begin with claiming you are voting for your own welfare handouts. You voted for a party that can hopefully pass legislation that will give you and the rest of those out of jobs an opportunity to go better themselves. Congrats on that only I'm not sure that was your intention. Things get swell when you can do something better than look for a welfare check in the mailbox. If your only goal is to get that check and not interrupt the mail delivery system isn't a conservative idea. That's all democrat, government checks delivered by government employees. First of all he is lying. Second you think voting your own self interest is voting for more welfare. Having to survive on a government handout doesn't really jive with a country of opportunity now does it?
