No one does revenge movies better than the South Koreans. I enjoy them very much.
However, this one is the most brutal Korean movies I have ever seen. It requires a strong stomach to watch it. Lots of violence, gore, and really twisted behaviors. Seriously graphic stuff. Where most movies move the camera away from extreme violence and let your imagination do the work, this one doesn't.
It got to be too much for my wife and she stopped watching it with me.
A young woman is kidnapped and murdered by a serial killer. Unbeknownst to the serial killer, her fiancé works for Korean intelligence and he goes on a rather unique revenge spree. This is one guy you do not want to piss off.
The angry agents is played by Lee Bbung-hun. He's big actor in Korea and has made a lot of very popular movies. He usually plays a bad guy, but he's the good guy in this one.
The serial killer is played by Cho Min-sik. He was the main character in Oldboy, one of the best Korean revenge movies ever made.
