Palestine 1918 to 1948

Palestine is the name given by Arabs to an area in the Middle East. Palestine was absorbed into the Ottoman Empire in 1517 and remained under the rule of the Turks until World War One. Towards the end of this war, the Turks were defeated by the British forces led by General Allenby. In the peace talks that followed the end of the war, parts of the Ottoman Empire were handed over to the French to control and parts were handed over to the British – including Palestine. Britain governed this area under a League of Nations mandate from 1920 to 1948. To the Arab population who lived there, it was their homeland and had been promised to them by the Allies for help in defeating the Turks by the McMahon Agreement - though the British claimed the agreement gave no such promise.

The same area of land had also been promised to the Jews (as they had interpreted it) in the Balfour Declaration and after 1920, many Jews migrated to the area and lived with the far more numerous Arabs there. At this time, the area was ruled by the British and both Arabs and Jews appeared to live together in some form of harmony in the sense that both tolerated then existence of the other. There were problems in 1921 but between that year and 1928/29, the situation stabilised.

The main problem after the war for Palestine was perceived beliefs. The Arabs had joined the Allies to fight the Turks during the war and convinced themselves that they were due to be given what they believed was their land once the war was over.

Clashing with this was the belief among all Jews that the Balfour Declaration had promised them the same piece of territory.

In August 1929, relations between the Jews and Arabs in Palestine broke down. The focal point of this discontent was Jerusalem.

The primary cause of trouble was the increased influx of Jews who had emigrated to Palestine. The number of Jews in the region had doubled in ten years

The rules of the game has one requirement: You must produce a legitimate 1948 map. Just ask Tinmore.

Here is a 1922 map. It was still current in 1948 and is still current today.

Hey listen dumbfuck it's Not my problem you can't even comprehend the information you present. Does it matter whether it's rule or control, you idiot? It's the same. Arab rule as YOU PUT IT, ended 1099, when the Ottoman Turks took over and RULED, CONTROLED ETC for about 600 years, and then the Brits for about 30. After that it was Israel's War of Independence and glory glory hallelujah, the Jews are back home again. DOH!

The above is from Roudy to me !!!

Is it any wonder that Zionists are almost universally disliked !!! They cannot deal with the facts that they are given so they almost always resort to rudeness and name calling, and they also tell people to get lost when they are unable to deal with them on a coherent level !!!

This is your original statement on this thread;

The land belonged to the British, the Jews did not steal Arab land, they won it from the British. Case CLOSED

Unless you are completely ignorant of the usage of English words even you will admit that there is quite a difference between RULED, CONTROLLED ETC and belonged !!! One implies ownership and the others don't. According to the quote that I gave you from Wiki The British administration of the Mandate would only last until such time as " they are able to stand alone " Hardly a grant of belonging to more as I stated earlier a caretaker position !!!

On another point, here is what you said;

Another quote from Roudy;
Let me repeat. The land was never Arab land. The land was never Arab land. The land was never Arab land. The Jews defeated the British. The Arabs attacked, and got their asses kicked. Got it? Now get lost.

You were wrong as I proved . The Arabs ruled the land from 636 to 1099 !!! Please don't embarrass yourself any further admit your error and move on !!!

:cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:[/QUOTE]
Yup, the guy is on drugs or mentally ill. The last time the land belonged to the Arabs was from 636 to 1099. That's almost a thousand years ago douchebag. Since that time it's been the British and then the Turks for 600 years. So to conclude, the Jews did not "steal" or "take" or "occupy illegally" any land that at the time Arabs had clear ownership of. The land of Israel clearly belongs to the Jews and NO ONE ELSE, as would Greece to the Greeks, or Rome to the Italians or Spain to the Spaniards. Arabs invaded and controlled Spain for a while too, should we conclude that Spain has to be given back to them?

What fucking retards. It's like talking to 3 year olds.

I have a map from 1892 that shows Palestine
Palestine the land of the Jews, controlled by the British. Arabs did not consider themselves Palestinans.

Geez, 20 more post from these imbeciles and still no proof that "Jews stole Arab land".

MAYBE BECAUSE IT DIDN'T HAPPEN? Just a thought.

Tell you what you can do with that shit site of yours. Roll it up and then stick it up our Mohammad. Palestine is the name the Romans gave to Israel after they invaded it. Guess what? Not one FILTHY Muslim was in sight at the time. Not until AD 600 did invading Arabs set foot in Palestine.

600 ad ? how about we deal with the occurrences of the last 60 years

Another post, still no proof of when and where "Jews stole Arab land".

You claimed yesteday that Israel was not created by UN mandate, but that Israel "won" the land through acts of terror and warfare.

you specifically mentioned the terror attack on the King David hotel.

On what is that NOT stealing land?

btw. Still waiting for you to admit about a dozen clear factual errors on this thread - running away is not particularly honest posting.

And here's another one!

Do you accept that:

1) Some 90% of the population in the Levant in 2,700 BC was not Jewish, and if so - who were they?

2) Do you accept that geneticists consider those people to be definitely related to the modern-day Palestinians?

Not to brag, but I happen to be related to Noah. I haven't searched back any further then Uncle Noah. I'm going to Salt Lake City next month to do more research. Heavens knows what I'll discover.

Eh I claimed that Israel did not steal Arab land because the Arabs did not own, control, or didly jackshit with that land. The Jews did fight the British and they did bomb the King David MILITARY HQ, after they wantpred the British that they will, if they did not stop their anti Zionist military operations out of that Hotel. Amazing, even 60 years ago Jes were human enough to warn people of an impending attack.

Nope. You are now changing the subject again. Jews from over the world have a common gene that can be traced back to the ancient Hebrews. It has been scientifically proven. The modern day Palestinjans are Arabs just like their neighboring Arabs. If they are related to the ancient Plestinians then THE ENTIRE ARAB WORLD WOULD BE RELATED. douchebag.

Roudy -

You claimed that Israel "won" the land from Britain. Here is the quote for you:

the Jews did not steal Arab land, they won it from the British

You say again here that the Jews used terror attacks and violence to take control of the land.

On what basis does that amount to legal ownership of the land?

On what basis do you say that Arabs "did not own" the land they lived on?

Please stay on topic and address the point raised.

No one is questioning Jewish genetic code.

Demographics of Palestine, 1800.

Muslims: 246,000

Jews: 7,000

Christians: 22,000

So if those 246,000 Palestinians did not own the land they lived on - where did they live?
