I heard it on Fox

AARP gets a waiver.

:lol::lol:

Yes I saw that too. I would be stuned in hypricritical and crony selective enforcement of the law outrage but this has become the norm with Obama. nothing surprises me anymore. I now know why Charles Krouthimer always has that lazy look on his face. Kinda like that cat in your avatar.

"Although the administration has approved more than 1,300 Obamacare waivers and published the recipients’ application information online, it has not made public which companies and other entities have been denied waivers and why they were denied.

Obama’s Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) won’t release that information, nor will they publicly release the identities of those still waiting for a decision. HHS won’t even say how many applications are in the queue."

Calling all those who endorsed Obamacare....

...can you deny that the plan is a flop, and the waivers indicate
a)that it doesn't work, and
b) that waivers will be given until after Obama is re-elected (heaven forfend!)

Man-up, and apologize!

Never happen. That would require admitting Dear Reader is not perfect. They're afraid they'll burst into flames for committing such blasphemy.

From his campaign days, we suspected Obama was going to cow to big insurance, from the lobbying furry that followed, it couldn't have been more shill

so you so called conservatives who side with these corporate whores can 'man up' , because all these waivers you see are simply people trying to exersice a fasict health care out

A bad design to begin with, leads to bad patches in an attempt to make it work.

Doesn't surpise me one bit.

If we are seeking efficient HC we have two very different choices

1. Either go full socialist (you know...like our military?);

2. Or let FREE market systematically kill off the economically unviable.

Niether of those are politically palatable, of course, which is why we're screwing around with these hybrid plans that cannot work.

does anyone have a source that clearly states they got a 'waiver' as we have delineated them?

all I see is waiver in quotes, is it a waiver...or? what exactly?

example-

After President Barack Obama’s administration tossed the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) the equivalent of an Obamacare waiver on Thursday, conservative groups Let Freedom Ring and 60 Plus grilled Obama again for the appearance of favoritism. Obamacare is taking heat from critics, who accuse the administration of “crony capitalism,” after The Daily Caller reported this week that about 20 percent of the latest slew of waivers from parts of the healthcare overhaul went to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s San Francisco district.

The problem is The Most Transparent Administration in the History of Administrations AND Transparency has not been forthcoming with who has been denied waivers nor the criteria used to select which are approved.

Of course, it's all political payback.

So, AARP endorses it...then wants a waiver. This is an astoundingly corrupt Administration.
Remember when ObamaCare was being debated? (If you can call it that) Pro ObamaCare people were saying; "Look, the AARP endorsed it, so it MUST be good!".

The Daily Caller has learned that the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) rate review rules, which it finalized on Thursday, exempt “Medigap” policy providers, like the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP), from oversight when such providers increase payment rates for their supplemental insurance plans.

I never joined AARP because of their lean to the left over the last 25 years.
AARP is going to reap big benefits from Obamacare when it is fully implemented....until then they get a free ride, I guess.

I have a couple questions: How many individuals does the waivers cover?
Does all these waivers play into the bottom line of what the CBO used to calculate the total cost of this debacle called Obamacare?

The AARP did not get a waiver. "When such providers increase payment rates for their supplemental insurance plans."

AARP is not a provider/insurance company. It is an insurance broker. It has nothing to do with the payment rates of the insurance policies that it brokers.

Misinformation from the Daily Caller. Nothing new here.
