Political Pulse | The Associated Press-Yahoo! News Poll on Yahoo! News

Funny thing about bias, it generalizes and doesn't take into account the individual. Obama can't be lazy and be where he is. He wasn't born into a rich family like Bush or have an Admiral for a daddy. He can't be violent, because he hasn't punched out McMumbles for the lies he keeps telling on TV.

What suprises me the most, is that as retired has said, I am voting for him only because he is Black.

Look at the graph. Oh Golly, Ms Molly, how do white republicans rate Blacks?

No, no racial shit here in America folks, nothing to see, keep moving.

to think that this would not be an issue to some was naive imo....

though i can't say that all of those that have this very general opinion regarding blacks would not vote for Obama, because as you have said, it is very visible that Obama is NONE of those things these people think...lazy yah dedahs, because Obama has most certainly made something of himself and succeeded in life more so than most ever will...

It isn't an issue to those who don't want to admit it. Sad commentary at this day and age.

Yup, remind us again which Presidents have placed the most minorities into positions of power in DC? Get those excuses ready in case you need them come November 5. Obama couldn't possibly lose cause he is left wing socialist with idiotic policies or in most cases NONE at all.

    Has to be racism.

I don't suppose it's possible for you to discuss an issue that has nothing to do with Bush, McCain, and.or Republicans without somehow spinning them into it ...

Th eleft LOVES to cry racism at the drop of a hat, and the thread of this board are definitely proof of that. Y'all have been living in denial too long. There are just as many bigots/racists among y'all as there are on the right and claiming it ain't so doesn't change that one bit.

    Enjoy your humble pie.

It isn't my poll Gunny and retired. Unless it is totally wrong, white republicans have the lowest opinion of Blacks.

Argue that fact and not your frigging spin.

I remember looking at the RNC and the DNC conventions where the leaders are. Hmmm, didn't see a lot of them Negroes there.

You both may be perfectly non racially biased. But the graph doesn't show that for the group the polled.

So far only a white Republican has had the balls to tell me directly that he won't vote for Obama because he doesn't want a ****** in the white house.

Are either of you familiar with the Defense Equal Opportunity Management Insititute at Patrick Air Force Base? I worked there almost six years. Unless the world has changed that much since I retired, there is still a lot of racist bullshit in this country, and it looks like it is worse on the far right.

It was always going to be an issue. BUT I think we've already discussed on this board that if it was colin powell running, it WOULDN'T be an issue. So, I'd suspect that color has already been a factor in where the polls are in terms of the demographic. I doubt that will factor in a second time.

    Just my opinion.

A poll asking whites to describe blacks is about as bigoted as you can get .
It assumes all blacks are the same.

I am arguing the fact. A simple reading and comprehension level woul dnote that I stated there are just as many racists/bigots on the left as the right, or words to that effect. I do not, as you on the left try to spin it, attempt to deny the existence of racism on the right.

There's also the fact I take polls with a grain of salt.

Based on your statement, this might be beyond your comprehension level since you are one of the ones who will use any excuse to twist shit,, but has it ever occurred to you that white Republicans might not want to vote for Obama because they don't believe in his political idealism nor his smoke and mirrors "change" BS? Too easy, huh?

The biggest bunch of goober racists I ever met worked in EEO offices in the
h government/military so trying to use THAT as some kind of legitimate indictor of whatever you're trying to use it for doesn't fly here.

And just a reminder ... I'm white, not Republican. And I won't vote for Obama because I don't agree with his leftwing politics and I think he's full of shit and you blind partisans are buying it, but I could give a fuck less what colore his skin is, nor what is or isn't hanging between his legs.

many southerners live with the largest population of Blacks, and alot of animosity is present there among both whites and blacks, towards eachother.

Where I live, we only have 1% of our population as black, my previous state in the northeast of massachusetts had less than 3% of the population as black, while my previous state to this was Florida is probably 12%-15% minimum black population and the state i was born in, Alabama probably has 25% of their population as black....

The South is who had most of the slaves, the south had alot more wounds to heal with the history of blacks and slavery and lynchings in America and from my years alone, i have witnessed GREAT PROGRESS among white/black relationships with healing animosities....but there still is alot farther to go since the mid 60's when civil rights came in to fruition imo.

And most of the people in the south, lean republican...NOT because of their animosity toward's blacks, but MORE for social conservative issues....
