Indeed, Islam is a religion, there are millions of Americans who were born and raised in the United States and are practicing Muslims; Islam is as much a part of American culture as Christianity, Judaism, any other religion, or being free from faith.

When did Islam become a part of American culture? What do ordinary Americans know about Islam? Who is ready to accept this vast Islamization of the country?

That's because in today's PC world "immigrants" are encouraged to retain their native cultures and languages out in public so they aren't assimilating they are colonizing instead. We are becoming a fractured nation.

I read your post, and assumed you lived in Dearborn. Your post was cut and pasted from the article you linked. So I don't know if you've ever been to Dearborn. I lived in Dearborn for 9 years, my son graduated from Edsel Ford high school in Dearborn. When you go to the east side of Dearborn you can't read the store signs, they're some kind of arabic writing. People in east Dearborn, where the arabs and muslims are, will rent an apartment, then nail a bedroom door shut and rent that room out, come and go via the window. Fordson High school has 3 restrooms for the kids, boys, girls, and muslim girls. That way the muslim girls don't have to pee with the infidels. Rev. Terry Jones came to Dearborn to protest sharia law, and wanted to burn a koran in front of a masque. He was prevented from doing that by the police, but was allowed to speak at a rally by a city office building. I was there for it. Would they have stopped muslims from burning a bible in front of a church? The muslims get along ok because no one bothers them, but they are taking over. They have east Dearborn, and they're spreading.

I spent about 6 months in Dearborn. Although I wan't crazy about the place, I didn't dislike it but I tend to like multicultural cities and towns. I'm sure many people on this board would hate it. America is becoming more multicultural but that's happen all over the world. 1 in every 4 immigrants to United States are Muslim which almost means 3 out of 4 are not.

So i live in America, and we have been receiving a lot of middle eastern immigrants over the last 10 years because of various reasons like conflicts in their native country. It seems like we are bending over backwards to make these people feel at home instead of making them integrate. You can't have christmas trees in kindergardens any longer and you can't serve pork in some schools either. Shouldn't we tell them that if they want to live here they have to follow our rules and not the opposite? I'm not saying that they can't me muslim, but that doesn't mean that we have to cater to their needs. If they want to live in a society that matches their expectations then why don't they go to a muslim country instead? I don't see myself as xenophobic, but i do believe that any immigrants who come here has to integrate into our culture.

It may seem that the various ethnicities are not being assimilated but the fact is they are. It just takes a long time.

To understand cultural assimilation, you have to look at ethnicity, not just religion. A Muslim is a follower of Islam just as a Catholic is follower of the Catholic faith. Muslim is not an ethnicity. Almost every ethnic groups include Muslims. Thus there are Japanese, Arab, English, Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, and Latin American Muslims. Although these people are all Muslims their ethnicity and the Islamic sect they follow vary greatly as does their rate of cultural assimilation.

We are seeing more Muslim today in the US for two big reasons. So i live in America, and we have been receiving a lot of middle eastern immigrants over the last 10 years because of various reasons like conflicts in their native country. It seems like we are bending over backwards to make these people feel at home instead of making them integrate. You can't have christmas trees in kindergardens any longer and you can't serve pork in some schools either. Shouldn't we tell them that if they want to live here they have to follow our rules and not the opposite? I'm not saying that they can't me muslim, but that doesn't mean that we have to cater to their needs. If they want to live in a society that matches their expectations then why don't they go to a muslim country instead? I don't see myself as xenophobic, but i do believe that any immigrants who come here has to integrate into our culture.

Schools in Jewish or Muslim neighborhoods where pork is not eaten are likely not to serve it either because there is little demand or parent don't want to see it on the menu. It's not reasonable to expect people to give up their religion because they immigrated to the US.

I lived in Dearborn for 9 years, my son graduated from Edsel Ford high school in Dearborn. When you go to the east side of Dearborn you can't read the store signs, they're some kind of arabic writing. People in east Dearborn, where the arabs and muslims are, will rent an apartment, then nail a bedroom door shut and rent that room out, come and go via the window. Fordson High school has 3 restrooms for the kids, boys, girls, and muslim girls. That way the muslim girls don't have to pee with the infidels. Rev. Terry Jones came to Dearborn to protest sharia law, and wanted to burn a koran in front of a masque. He was prevented from doing that by the police, but was allowed to speak at a rally by a city office building. I was there for it. Would they have stopped muslims from burning a bible in front of a church? The muslims get along ok because no one bothers them, but they are taking over. They have east Dearborn, and they're spreading.
