Will someone please explain to me why she said what she said?

I pay my taxes as I should.....and in return, I have the advantage of a police force if and when needed...a fire department if and when needed, paved roads when needed, bridges when needed...

Now..in the meantime.....I dont use food stamps, but my taxes go to them...I dont use welfare but my taxes go to them. Self employed, I dont collect unemployment, but my taxes go to them. I do not use the ER on the tax payer dime, but my tax money goes there....

So what am I missing here. Is she implying that I expect to get all of those things in the first paragraph for free? I ask as I never said I should. I understand why 35% of my adjusted earned income goes to taxes.

Or did she simply try to fuel class warfare.

I can't speak for Elizabeth Warren's intentions and motivations, but I suspect that she is responding to right-wing talking points. I really doubt she wants to aggravate small business owners. Remember who she is: this is someone who was a stout consumer advocate, and got railroaded out of the agency she created by cynical GOP operators. For those of us who aren't Democrats, she is a hero, because she stood up to SecTreas Geithner and attacked his mismanagement of TARP as head of SIGTARP.

I am proud of who I am and I take pride in my approach on here

I use terms like class warfare when I see evidnece of it. And I truly see what she said as fueling class warfare.

She gave the impression to those that listened that conservative business owners either DONT pay taxes or dont WANT TO pay taxes.

I have been paying for that help for 25+ years....and I dont take it for granted.
