Yeah -- that's why the Sec Def testified before Congress and admitted that 75% of air sorties over Syria come back with all weapons intact.. The rules of engagement mean that we fly A LOT of sorties and drop very little ordinance..

FACT: for the accurate number of air strikes, as stated in my op and other posts, subtract those who did not drop their ordinance.

And what is this shit about how I feel about "bombing civilians"??? I want a Prez that HAS A PLAN. Including one that get refugee safe zones in Syria and will NOT carpet bomb ISIS indiscriminately. Right now -- we don't have a plan. We should be kissing Assad's butt and restoring some type of leadership to Syria. Even if it means that Putin gets to do things his way..

The quantity of air strikes is made meaningless by the lack of a clear strategy to defeat the enemy. Supply lines need to be severed before air strikes can have a lasting effect. Right wingers are not at all wrong in pointing out Obama's failure to implement a winning strategy, it is incredibly obvious, stop your whining.
Right wingers are not the only people who remain unconvinced of the effectiveness of US bombing runs. The Iraqis also appear ready to throw in their lot with the Russians.

A convoy of vehicles may be spotted parked at a building or designated point. When the aircraft carrying $200,000 precision-guided bombs shows up and discovers the target has moved, changed, no longer exist, the RW'ers here want to drop the quarter million dollar bombs on the empty building or patch of desert.

If we had Special Ops in country they could direct the Aircraft to the target ans laze it for a hit.

More are showing up every day and A-10's are going out on search and strike missions to destroy targets of opportunity. Lots of added risk for both missions and a beheaded or burned alive American pilot is only a question of time if we keep demanding the pilots push the envelope to meet the public demand for instant gratification.
