Yep...this is how you lower the Chicago gun murder rate..since Chicago is hampered by democrats who don't want to increase the sentences for repeat gun offenders....

Articles: Should Trump DoJ Federalize Chicago Gun Prosecutions?

The problem...

But President Obama did not tell this group that Syracuse University's Transactional Records Access Clearinghouse (TRAC) shows that the Northern Illinois district ranked 90th out of 90 in prosecutions of federal weapons crimes per capita.

David Burnham, co-director of TRAC, states their analysis says that according to case-by-case U.S. Justice Department information obtained under the Freedom of Information Act, there were 52 federal gun prosecutions in Illinois North (Chicago) in 2012, or 5.52 per million in population.

By this measure, compared with the 90 federal judicial districts in the U.S., the prosecution rate in Chicago was the lowest in the country…

How to fix it....

Horace Cooper of the National Center for Public Policy Research opined that it was both necessary and legal for President Trump to direct the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois to contact the local district attorney and take over the prosecution of local crimes in which a gun was carried or used by the criminal. Such crimes would receive stiffer mandatory sentences under federal gun laws:

We don't want to get too tough on them as their is an upside to black and Hispanic criminal thugs killing off other criminal thugs.

I agree. Let em all kill themselves and let the cops shoot em on site.

Can the Feds Save Chicago?

The federal strategy employed in New York can work in Chicago. Indeed, though street crime is not the core mission of federal law enforcement, the U.S. penal code is better equipped to deal with it today than three decades ago.

-------------------

Street-level felons, even when occasionally arrested, are used to being back in business before the cops can finish the paperwork. As a young prosecutor, I always found it refreshing to see the shock on the faces of such sociopaths on learning they’d had the misfortune to be arrested on “Federal Day” — the day or two per week when drug arrestees were brought into our less overwhelmed court system, ensuring that they’d be doing real time.

That prospect led to the cultivation of countless informants, who decided they’d rather cooperate with police than sit in a federal penitentiary for five or ten years. In turn, this led to the successful prosecution of insulated gang leaders in large-scale cases.

Repeat gun offenders in Chicago now do less than 2 years.....

Move in with feds and do an illegal immigrant raid. That will take care of a lot of it. People will be amazed at how many illegals are hiding in the education system.

And stay while the feds investigate the elections system and prosecutes every crime it finds.

That will take care of Chicago. Now and forever.
