Higher Taxes Will Get the Economy On Track

Exactly who are the "rich," asswipe ?

The top 2% fuckface.

BL, you could tax the top 10% 100%, liquidate everything they own, tax the Fortune 500 100%, liquidate everything they own and generate just enough money to run the government for a lousy 9 months.

Higher taxes aren't going to fix a goddamned thing, we've GOT to cut the fucking SPENDING!!

You're partially correct. What the nation needs is fair tax rates along with cuts in spending. This was achieved under Clinton and lead to the booming economy, where the reverse was done under W causing the nation's collapse.
Luckily the nightmare in Iraq is over, but Afghanistan needs to be stopped as well.

The GOP has been frothing at the mouth to go to war with Iran, and propose even more insane military spending.
Now take a look at this map and tell me where the cuts need to be. The latest stunt from the GOP is going after food stamps,..

I can only hope that, IF Mitt is elected, that he will completely eliminate the tax burden that the top 2% bear. Good God they already pay all the Fed tax that comes in now. How can we expect the ultra wealthy to become even more wealthy paying taxes like they do. Eliminate them and watch their money grow.

And while cutting taxes on the 2%, I hope that he will raise taxes to 40% on the rest of us. Because we deserve it for being stupid and electing Mitt.

While at the same time cutting spending by limiting it to just what the COTUS says. Like defense.

And I hope Mittens increases defense spending by hundreds of billions. And starts a war with Iran.

Life is going to be so good if Mitt gets elected. At least for Mitt and Friends.

And the riots are going to be cool to.

Yup. Get rid of all the tax loopholes, tax breaks, subsidies. Everything needs to be on the table including Welfare, Medicaid, Defence. Everything.

We are broke folks and the idiots we elect need to start cutting big time.

When they say we need Higher Taxes, what they really mean is they need more of your money to finance their reckless handout programs.

False, none of you idiots are anything close to rich

What does it matter if we are rich or not? Some of us disagree with the twisted notion that people who have gone through life with outstanding work ethics, and have made themselves successful (unless you're Obama who thinks everyone had a role in individuals succeeding in life) need to be punished, and made to pay premiums for those who have slithered through life with decidedly NOT very successful work ethics.

I'm with you 100% on cutting military spending. The only GOP candidate that wants to do that is Ron Paul, but he's a 'kook'. I guess I'm a 'kook', too.

We also need to cut down the size of government, another Ron Paul idea that gets no traction from either of the 'established' parties.

And the ONLY spending that is CONSTITUTIONAL in your pie chart ^ IS the 58% spent by the Government on the Military.

For some odd reason you equate rich with outstanding work ethics.

Let me ask you. Are you a millionaire? Uh oh.........now tell me why you lack outstanding work ethic. Slacker.

You're right, but Paul is a libertarian. Actually when it comes to the military, he is the most staunchly far left person in congress. That's one of the main reasons why the GOP establishment hates him.

Try again, if any of that spending wasn't constitutional, it would have never been allowed in the first place,...

If only we increased taxes on the wealthy, greedy corporations, estates, capital gains, and profits more the economy would improve dramatically........

Just think of all the jobs govt would be able to "create" with all that tax revenue LOL

You're right. We need to end the horrific Bush tax cuts to the rich and go back to the wildly successful Clinton plan, which did just that.

The "Clinton plan" did not create tax revenue in an economic environment anything LIKE what we now find ourselves in. The so called Dot Com Boom is what created all that tax revenue during the Clinton years. Raising taxes NOW...during an economic slowdown is counter productive...something that even Clinton himself admitted before the Obama White House put the screws to him to change his tune. This progressive "notion" that the rules of economics no longer apply because they choose to ignore them guarantees us years more of economic stagnation or worse.

Also, we need to look at cuts in entitlement spending, which your chart didn't even address...

We just can't afford to keep this shit up... PERIOD.

The whole "it was only good because of the dot com boom!" has going to be the biggest propaganda piece spread by the right in history.

After over a decade of failed "trickle down" right wing economics along with their insane spending led to down economies and massive deficits. Clinton's tax plan was the main reason for how wildly success his presidency was.

He also helped small business to thrive, yes including the dot com companies as well as countless others from his strong progressive stances that helping the real job creators, small business and the middle class, is the way to a great america, and he was 100% correct.

Also keep in mind the rich have been doing VERY well under Obama, the only ones that are hurting are the poor and middle class. Obama has not presented at any time to restore the tax rates on anyone but the top 2%.

You do realize that the "Clinton economy" totally blew up at the end of his term and was known as the "dot bomb"?

Again... For those with their heads up their asses...The ONLY thing in that chart that is Constitutionally authorized spending for the United States Government IS defense spending.

So.......how much guy? How much to cut from SSI retirement program? 15%? 25%

Put a number on it.

Then explain how cutting a retirees income, maybe the only income they have, explain how we will then be a "stronger" nation.

How about the one item of welfare that us middle class take advantage of. The write off for interest on a mortgage. Eliminate that. Is that what you are saying? And how will this help make us a better, stronger nation with fewer people buying houses.

And the one I know you are really hung up on. Welfare. Lets cut those folks by what?
30 to 40%. Hell you know they got it to good anyway. Right guy?

Yea all these cuts can then allow the ultra rich to become richer. And that right there is the problem we have. The ultra rich don't have enough money. Yet. But they are working on it.

Yea I like the ideas you have there guy. Kinda like when we had to burn the village to "save" it.

Yes, defense spending. Not offense spending.

Unfortunately, sometimes the best defense is a good offense.
