Two Minnesota lawmakers were literally caught with their pants down in a public park - so says a Dakota County Deputy Sheriff but-----but the Republican state representatives say they weren't, umm, fooling around. My question is, given that recently video after video after video has surfaced that contradicts what ends up in police reports and-----and given that todays Republican Party is truthiness challenged, who's "word for it" are you willing to take?

Lawmakers won't fight fines for 'making out' in park

Two Minnesota lawmakers ticketed for "making out" in a public park say they no longer plan to fight the citations and will instead pay the fines.

Reps. Tim Kelly, R-Red Wing, and Tara Mack, R-Apple Valley were ticketed last week for "committing an act that constitutes a nuisance" in a Dakota County park. A county officer noted in his paperwork that the two were making out and that Mack was partially unclothed when he approached the parked car.

The two strongly denied the report and accused the park ranger who cited them of lying. Kelly had said he met Mack in the park to pick up documents. On Wednesday, both vowed to file a complaint with the Dakota County Sheriff's Office.

Who would've thought two uber-christian Republican lawmakers who ran as "family values" candidates would get caught cheating on their spouses?

I wonder if Tara's evangie pastor cuckold husband will forgive her?

Both lawmakers were charged with a misdemeanor nuisance ordinance violation. The story has proved embarrassing for them since the two “family values” Republicans are married, but not to each other.

Tim Kelly has been married to his wife, Sue, for 18 years and they have four children. Tara Mack is married to Justin Mack, a pastor affiliated with River Valley Church, a suburban Twin Cities Assemblies of God megachurch. They have two children. Mack was also a featured speaker at the 2014 CPAC convention.

That is between them and their mates and them and their God.
For you to ask readers to judge is to cast them into the role of Satan the accuser.

It should be between "them and their mates" but hypocritical lawmakers that run for office on a family values platform then-----then turn out to not have any of the values they were running on themselves should be run out of office.

First gay couple in Florida to legally wed
Sat Jan 10, 2015

First gay couple in Florida to legally wed. A Sheriff's deputy (in uniform) to a former Marine.
On this blessed day, allow me to be the first to say: In your fat FACE Pam Bondi!

Congratulations to the cop and the Marine are in order:

Detective David Currie, 50, and his now-husband Aaron Woodard, 33, tied the knot shortly after midnight on Tuesday, when the state legalized gay marriage.

And after requesting permission from his superiors, Currie walked down the registry aisle with full support of the Broward County Sheriff's to wed in uniform.

Does this disgust you, wingnut? Don't you support our cops/troops?? Why do you hate police officers??

Kudos to Scott Israel, Broward County Sheriff, for saying it was a "great thing" that the detective was proud enough of his agency to want to marry in his uniform.

We have finally turned a corner in this state. We went from rampant homophobia (perfectly encapsulated by former governor Jeb Bush's rant comparing gays to pedophiles and drunk drivers) to now seeing statewide support for marriage equality.

Marco Rubio and other backwards politicians are pushing Florida AG PamBo to continue to fight this already lost battle to the US Supreme Court, even though they recently shredded her last minute plea for an injunction. PamBo tried to argue that marriage was meant only for couples who planned to breed and provide "enduring family relationships".

This coming from a childless, twice-divorced adulterer who currently has a "living in sin" arrangement with her boyfriend.

<snip>

What is it with Republicans?
Wasteful Republicans are willing to take criminal action and/or waste taxpayer money to fight "the law of the land", and for what - so they can stop some people from being successful at what they've failed at...? Republican family values - pewsh!

Excerpts from:

EXCLUSIVE — It’s SPLITSVILLE For Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Live-in Boyfriend

May 19, 2015 by Jose Lambiet

<snip>

She [Pam Bondi] recently moved her stuff out of the $5 million-house in the Beach Park section of Tampa.

<snip>

...U.S. Postal Service records show Bondi, an ultra-conservative “family values” politician who fought tooth and nail against gay marriage, no longer gets her mail at Henderson’s address.

<snip>

But the news makes Bondi, who is childless, unwed, unengaged and twice-divorced as she turns 50 in November, a lot less attractive a candidate for hardcore Republicans — should she run for a higher office.

<snip>

Last year, Bondi made national news when she took the state through an all out battle against the legalization of gay marriage. The state’s ban was lifted by a court in Miami in January.

What next, some county clerk will be willing to go to jail to force her religion on others?
