because they think theres fire about Bush's guard service and kerry wants to look like a war president.

Oh. Well now it looks like there's a raging fire about Kerry's service and Bush already looks like an experienced war president. Guess the Dems picked some bad aspects to play up.

If Cheney is a coward for deferring involvement in Vietnam on a legal basis, at least he followed the law. If the government didn't allow for deferments than Cheney would have served. Why doesn't Harkin start a referendum to get rid of all deferments?

And I wonder what Harkin says about our former Pres....or the first lady if she were to run. Would he perhaps state that because she didn't serve she's unfit to be president if she runs...watch...I bet not.
