Hank Williams Jr, oops

I see the valid comparioson too.

I'm sure Hank William's intent was comparing Obama to Hitler in the early years. When you have a guy like Obama who is imposing Nazi-like Socialism policies on this country, you've got to say it. Hank Williams wasn't talking about the genocide - that's at the tail end of Hitler's regime. But, the stuff that preceeded that - sending out thugs to beat people up at town hall meetings, Black Panthers at polling stations. Obama's now defunct snitch website?

just an FYI, whiners...

Freedom Of Speech In The Workplace: The First Amendment Revisited

Employees in the public sector – who work for governmental entities – have First Amendment rights in the workplace, subject to certain restrictions. The case law that has developed over time regarding First Amendment rights in the workplace has come from the public sector, as the government is directly affecting employees in public sector cases. There are no Washington cases that this author is aware of where freedom of speech has been protected under the First Amendment in private sector workplaces.

it never ceases to amaze me how badly people misinterpret the 1st amendment.

And this doesn't remotely apply here.

Hank Jr is in sports broadcasting?

I guess not if you don't consider Monday Night Football a 'sport' and if you don't consider it's showing to be a 'broadcast'.

Monday Night Football was using Hank Williams Jr.'s "introduction"....so no, he's not a sports broadcaster in any meaningful sense

If you could read you would know that's not what I said.

Do you agree with perv who said this is the only example of someone comparing Obama to Hitler?

We're all capable of reading your stupidity, asshat.

This guy went so far off the derp end that the cast of Fox and Friends was falling over each other to distance themselves from what he was saying.

Think about that.

this would appear to be one of those rare occasions where we agree.

The 1st amendment clearly states...

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

it does NOT say 'ESPN shall make no law'.

If you're gonna say something your employer might not like, you should be prepared for the consequences of your actions. Hank had every right to make the statement he did, and I support his right to make it, 100%. ESPN also had every right to yank him off the MNF opening if they felt his statement reflected badly on them.

Another, dumb, ignorant, hillbilly, redneck huckster saying racist crap...what else is new?

Is he, by chance, related to Hayluh Bawbuh?

I do NOT see racism in that comment. However, you lefties seem find it at your convenience!

I suspect you don't "see racism" anywhere...at your convenience.

I see racism everywhere it exists. You find it where it doesn't exist. So your speculation is off the marcATL !

And here we have at least one USMB poster scrambling to associate themselves and line up with that rambling RW buffoon Hank. More than willing to give the SOB cover.

Something to think about eh?

I can read and comprehend the English language just fine. You said what you said, there was only one way to take that. Just embrace it and move a long.

What was the last time you remember a public form of racism happening? By public I mean something that made the news.

You never even heard of Hank Williams, Jr. until this morning, when your alarm went off in the projects and you clicked on your government issue black and white television.

Really? So who were those thousands of celebrities in sports broadcasting who compared Bush to Hitler,

and didn't lose their jobs?

Hank Jr is in sports broadcasting?

I guess not if you don't consider Monday Night Football a 'sport' and if you don't consider it's showing to be a 'broadcast'.

So, when was the last time you watched Monday Night Football and saw Hank Williams Jr. in the booth doing play by play? Or color commentating? Or doing a piece on the sidelines? Or in the studio after a game?

To imply Hank Williams Jr. is a sports broadcaster, is about as accurate as claiming the sun orbits the earth.

In the windmills of his mind, it does.

And you wonder why the right has a racist reputation.....
