AIG pays us back. The forst 50% of tarp saved the economy
His leadership post 9-11 prevented a more serious economic collapse than we had
    Saddam, gone
UBL, gone (thanks to water boarding in 2006 as well as Navy seals/CIA)
His tax rate will be in place for 99% of us
    Sarbanes Oxley, huge success
His medicare plan was under funded, but also a huge success
was within 163 billion of a balanced budget, 2007
Numerous bi partisan legislation events such as No Child left behind, removing Saddam, Etc...
Budgets through 2008 (BHO signed the 09 budget 3/2009, called the Omnibus bill

    Now how is BHO doing?
    no jobs
    huge debt
Obama care in which some of his own now want out of some

    That is my point
Many far right conservatives see GWB as a old blue dog Democrat

Time should be showing all of us just how bad BHO is and how better than the media mandated daily for the last years GWB really was

    .

One thing is for sure: We'll never get the lives, limbs and minds back of the thousands of American soldiers who should never have been sent to the Iraq & Afghanistan in the first place, nor the 4 TRILLION or so that was borrowed and then spent on those wars. Obama has been weak in getting us out of there, but he didn't put us there in the first place, and no spin can change that fact.

Think of all the lives and money that could have been saved had we just sent our armchair Rambos instead.

Another funny jr. post praising President Bush.

President Bushes legacy will be two fold. First, Iraq. Including but not limited to invading a country that was not planning on attacking us, (nor could have if they wanted to), did not represent a serious or immediate threat to us, did not have the WMD President Bush and hius people claimed, and getting thousands of US soldiers killed. His invasion and occupation is also responsible for an unknown number of innocent Iraqi civilians. Second he presided over the worst economic meltdown since 1929.

President Obama's is still being written.

He saved the economy? You mean the economy his policies helped ruin?
Within a balanced budget? You mean the budget he un-balanced after Clinton?
Saddam is gone? Yeah, and so are thousands of American service men and women and countless Iraqi civilians -- all because we invaded a country that was no threat to us.

Here's something to think about, bub. If Bush hadn't charged up our credit card with two wars, his Medicare prescription plan, and cut taxes TWICE to historic levels (during a war!), we wouldn't be in the mess we're in now.

Bush will go down in history as one of the worst POTUSs in US history. And he well deserves it. You can bet on that.

The dems voted for both wars
    and

Al Qaeda was in fact in Iraq prior to our invasion
Still Clueless About Al Qaeda in Iraq | The Weekly Standard

Let’s start with the 9/11 Commission’s report, which is one of those books that few have actually digested. Whitlock and Erdbrink think the 9/11 Commission concluded that al Qaeda had no presence in Saddam’s Iraq. In actuality, the commission found:

In 2001, with Bin Ladin’s help [Kurdish extremists] re-formed into an organization called Ansar al Islam. There are indications that by then the Iraqi regime tolerated and may even have helped Ansar al Islam against the common Kurdish enemy.

In other words, not only was the al Qaeda-affiliated Ansar al Islam in northern Iraq, but the commission also found “indications” that Saddam’s regime “tolerated” and may have “helped” the group. (The commission also cited a 1999 email from famous Iraq-al Qaeda naysayer Richard Clarke. While working as a counterterrorism official in the Clinton administration, Clarke worried that bin Laden may “boogie to Baghdad” because it was well known that Saddam wanted him in Iraq at the time. Bin Laden decided against the move, obviously, but it is telling that Saddam would even offer safe haven.)

It was once widely understood that Ansar al Islam was in Kurdish Iraq prior to the war, so the Democrats relied on another talking point. While conceding that Ansar al Islam was there, the Democrats and much of the press argued that this region was beyond Saddam’s control and, therefore, we shouldn’t believe the group’s presence there said anything about al Qaeda’s relationship with Iraq. This, of course, ignores the “indications” of Saddam’s support mentioned in passing by the 9/11 Commission and found by others as well.

It also ignores the fact that al Qaeda was in Baghdad and regime controlled territory, too.

I'm sure Iran also thanks Bush for his efforts, as his elimination of Saddam completely swung the balance of power in their direction.
