Greatest Movie of All Time?

All of the Rocky movies, with the exception of 3 and 5.

Lang was a good character, but the movie left alot to be desired.

I am big fan of the movie and my all time favorite movie is " The League of Extraordinary Gentleman ". This is the awesome movie which I have watch and it's story is also very nice for watching once.

Casablanca
The Godfathers
Shawshank Redemption
Cool Hand Luke
The Great Santini
Goodfellas
Shindlers List
Silence of the Lambs

Damn.

I can hardly believe that rightwinger has such solid "taste" in quality movies.

My own opinion?

Bar none, the singular best movie is: Casablanca.

The other movies on rightwinger's list (in my estimation excluding Santini) are all viable candidates for falling close behind. I'd add: Lawrence of Arabia.

Lawrence of Arabia would make my list if they ended it at the intermission. Everything beyond that was WTF?

I dunno. I saw it on a re-release in an IMAX format in Manhattan many years back with a lovely woman I was dating at the time. So perhaps my appreciation of that movie got influenced.

I liked the whole thing, though.

Has anyone else seen the movie Zulu, with a very young Micheal Caine?

Spectacular movie, great acting, and it actually happened.
Yes....Shaka Zulu! an excellent movie.

Still I have trouble finding a movie that surpasses any one of the following:

One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest

Schindler's List

To Kill a Mockingbird

I'd say the movie that had the most emotional effect on me ever was Passion of the Christ..

Greatest movie of all time? Can't do it! My top 10?

The Godfather & The Godfather Part II

Lawrence of Arabia

The Wizard of Oz

How Green was My Valley

The Seven Samurai

Casablanca

Citizen Kane

Paths of Glory

Raging Bull

The Maltese Falcon, Casablanca, The Treasure Of The Sierra Madre, Key Largo, and The African Queen of course.

No Cain Mutiny?

"and then there was the strawberry incident...."
