Got Tattoos?

So - how about it guys and gals? All you young ladies out there with cute little butterflys flying prettily over your butt crack or inviting messages appearing in the clevage area - are you ready for a little tattoo removal procedure when the time comes to undo the foolishness of your youth?

Those who are thinking of getting a tattoo might want to take a look at this documentary first.

I got my three tatts over two years ago and I don't regret them for a second. I decided what I wanted, and waited six months to ensure I wouldn't change my mind, then I got them done.

I will never, EVER have a crappy little dolphin or butterfly or tiger, or any Chinese symbols on my skin.
Really. They are way too cliche.

That's cool on avoiding the overdone tats. I change my mind too much to be wedded to something for life. lol

I've got 3 small ones that are grouped together. Falcon (me) Wolf (wife) fairy (daughter).
Kinda cool actually.

Sweet.

Sexist as this may come off I don't much mind tattoos on men. Just a personal thing for me so to each his or her own of course.

Dolphins and butterflies are cute, but they mean nothing to me at all, so I would never get those. Other people do and I don't understand why.

My tattoos are all of songs I like - Bon Jovi songs. All are on my arms, in plain view. I decided what I wanted, and where I wanted it, and once six months had passed (the six month rule is a must) I got the first one, then the following few months I got the other two.
I want one more so I have two on my right arm and two on my left.

Some would say that in 20 years, I won't like those songs anymore. But all of the songs have been my faves for well over a decade. No chance of me changing my mind!

Hey if they bring you pleasure Noomi that is all that matters when it comes to these things. I do think however there are some tattoos out there that some people are sorely going to regret one day.

I have to say, Paul has two tats. I was never a fan of them, but one of them is simply awesome. Both tats are on his upper arms (one each arm) near his shoulder.

They look great.

Well, I'm married and pushing 60 so I'm not exactly out to be a chick magnet. :D

 Has someone accused you of being a chick magnet Mr. H?

If my memory serves me right Paul is your fiance who has almost everything I want in a man?

:D

the daughter of a friend had her whole back tattooed. Long story short... Her friends got her drunk.. Took her in and had it done.

So... Jump forward... She wants to marry a bible thumped who wont marry a woman with any marks on her body...so she goes through the removal process over a several year time span. All that pain later... They are divorced.

The other funny one is a friend had a chinese symbol from the i ching (? Spelling) put on her arm. She thought... Thought is the thing.... It meant "the joyous" it turns out it meant "currency exchange" ... In common terms in china... Hooker.

Yes, Paul is my fiance and you have excellent taste! :)

And it is for that reason you are never allowed to bitch in my presence lucky lady.:D He probably has perfect tats on perfects arms.

Fun fact, while the tattoo is removed the the surface skin, it is still there underneath.

My sister had her 1st husbands names tattooed on her back. Divorce led to having it covered up with a different tattoo. Now she goes and gets her current husbands name tattooed on her.

o_O

I don't get it.

biggest mistake anyone can do...is have a name put on themselves.

Soooooo, you're saying I should get Syrenn removed? Do you have any idea how much Bingo and beer money I had to give up to get this thing?

yep, no names... including mine

Tattoos are often very incriminating. It's kind of hard for a suspect to deny that he is a gang member (which they often do) when he has his gang name tattooed all across his forehead in two-inch high letters.

those gang tats can also be pretty darn dangerous. Having them.... or removing them.

i tell ya... the dishwasher who was a really nice older asian man..... turned purple and was so upset when she showed off her shoulder... ..all he could blurt out was VERY BAD!! VERY VERY BAD!!!!!! We showed it to his son who worked there too...and his reaction was the same... red in the face.. and said VERY BAD! it took us an hour to convince him to tell us what the problem was. She is calling the symbol "the joyous" and sticking to that story.

As I have grown older my tastes have changed. For that reason alone I never got a tattoo.

However, one tempestuous and drunken night while in the military a bunch of us were going in to town to get a bulldog tattoo. As wasted as I was I had a moment of clarity and decided not to, the rest did and one guy supposedly got a tattoo of a shamrock on his penis....I cannot say this is true, although invited to look, I never served as a pecker checker.
