GOP divided in Congress?

No Republicans cast a "yes" vote on the procedural motion, keeping Democrats from the 60 vote threshold needed to move forward. One Democrat, Nebraska's Ben Nelson, voted "no" outright.

Republicans (and One Democrat) Block Debate on Financial Reform Bill - Political Hotsheet - CBS News

-----------------------------

You see this again and again. The Senate, the House, Republicans voting as a group. Every Republican voting the same way, over and over again. It's referred to as "Voting in a Block". To say it's not true and doesn't happen is ridiculous and delusional.

Leave it to Rdean to think 1 Democrat voting different than his party, as proof Democrats do not vote as a block.

LOL

Read the link. Democrats are willing to "discuss", Republicans are not. Oops.

lol, cracks me up. them Democrats all should be put up for sainthood or sumthing.

Here is a way to clear all this up.

Who will win in 2012?

Answer that, then continue with these conversations. lolololol

yeah, THE LAST ELECTION shows the American people BLAMED THE REPUBLICANS.

:lmao:

It needs to be pointed out to Stephanie Teabirther that Republicans are being recalled in historic numbers. Besides, you're not a millionaire. What are they doing for you?

Thank God the GOP is trying to stop the Obama crazy spending train from sending us to oblivion...

Even the tea baggers ..EVEN THE TEA BAGGERS are not happy with cutting medicare. What to do, what to do republicans.

Go Obama 2012!

I am willing to say it here and now, he will win in 2012. What say you?

Much of the Tea Party feels the end justifies the means. If our government must be destroyed so it can be reborn as the republic envisioned by the founders, then so be it. Such a philosophy does not sit well with the GOP as well as the vast majority of voters. It is inevitable that the GOP would not follow the Tea Party down the road to destruction.

Wrong ANSWER Brainiac. They are trying to put it back to where it needs to be and that means the Constitution you dope.

And if that results in an economic collapse, that's ok?

It doesn't happen very often. At least it didn't used to. Until recently, the Republicans have held a very strict discipline. They may have their disagreements in private. But in public, they never speak ill of another Republican. They always vote as a block. And they always have the same talking points.

So what's to make of the recent refusal of over 80 Republican Congressmen to vote against the 2011 budget compromise? It seems like an escalation of a simmering tension between the Tea Party and the GOP center.

unlike the democrats they don't simply tow a party line. So sure there is going to be some disagreement amongst them

Where ya been digger? Studying Saul Alinsky? It's democrats who always vote in a block. Why do you think they dumped the guy they had put up for VP? Democrats dumped Lieberman because he didn't toe the democrat party line. How many pro-lifers in the democrat party? Not many if they value their political lives.

So? The only saving grace with the GOP is it is less communist than the socialist order of democraps.

How many pro abortioners in the Republican party?
You should remove your partisan blinders and look around a bit.

Do we really want a political party to be so partisan they have now minds of their own? Like the democrats.

anyone notice all these articles about how the Gop is always divided?

so what does that say when WE DON'T SEE them on how Democrats are DIVIDED?

It means they all vote in LOCKSTEP, RUBBERSTAMPING everything the Obama wants. like good little commie sheep.
