GOP creates "targets" publishing personal info on women who've had an abortion

There were radicals in Germany in the prewar years - but they were in the minority.

Then the Weimar economy slid off a cliff. Desperation rose. The populace was scared. This gave the radicals the ability to turn Jews into a scapegoat.

When the oil runs out and the looting that took place during the Bush years finally comes home to roost, you are going to see a violent rightwing uprising against liberals, illegals, gays, and Muslims.

The rightwing fringes have been told that America was "stolen" by an illegitimate force. The rightwing fringes - many of whom lack an advanced education - have been told to take their country back.

(By force if necessary)

These are the people who were told to throw rocks through Gabby Gifford's office window.

If things get as bad as Weimar in the 30s - if an unforeseen world event or resource disruption finally put the economy down - the rightwing fringes are going to rise up and take action against the scapegoats.

Got help us.

A violent storm is gathering . . . and these people are going to take their country back by force.

God help us.
As I've reminded us with my pics above, they've ALREADY shown that they don't have any regard or respect for God, man nor life, just for their own ideology.

With the recent Trayvon Martin tragedy, they're showing us they have no regard for the life of black people either.

It's only a matter of time before what you're saying manifests itself.

No need to complain or worry about it, just be aware and be prepared for it when it comes.

Tennessee bill would force state to publicly name abortion doctors

Known as H.B. 3308, or the “Life Defense Act of 2012,” the bill would not actually level any real “defense” of human embryos. Instead, it would require the Tennessee Department of Health to publish more detailed information about abortions carried out in the state, including the names of doctors who performed them and the hospitals they work with.

It would also require detailed statistics on abortions, including time, date, the woman’s medical conditions at the time, the age of the fetus, the type of procedure performed, the location of the procedure, and the woman’s age, race and marital status, along with details on how many times she has been pregnant.

While the bill’s proponents point to language in the legislative text that protects the identity of each patient, critics argue that the enhanced statistics reporting could be used to identify women who’ve had abortions in small, rural communities.

Don’t Let Tennessee Publish Abortion Doctor and Patient Information Online

Tennessee lawmakers are considering a bill that would result in the online publication of doctors performing abortions as well the demographics of those who receive an abortion. This new measure could lead to the endangerment of abortion doctors and the possible identification of individuals obtaining abortions.

------------------------------------------------------------

The measure sponsored by Republican Rep. Matthew Hill of Jonesborough would require physicians performing abortions to hold hospital privileges in either the home or adjacent county of the woman seeking an abortion. It was approved 72-24 on Thursday. Eight Democrats voted for the mostly Republican-backed proposal.

Rep. Gary Odom, D-Nashville, was among critics who questioned why abortions would be singled out for extra restrictions on doctors, when others like tonsillectomies to eye operations would not.

He questioned Hill's assertion that abortions are being performed illegally in Tennessee by out-of-state doctors. Hill later acknowledged that he had no direct knowledge of such activity.

While publishing the names of doctors was eventually dropped, the other onerous parts weren't. Good. I WANT Republicans to run on this stuff. I'm sure it's the path to the presidency. That and "Education is for snobs" and "let him die".
Seems like these bastards just don't learn do they...?

I love the idea!
Just like the sex offender registry is useful, a baby murderer registry will be useful.

"I love the idea!

1) Is abortion illegal in the state?
2) Is the doctor a public worker or does he/she work for the private sector?

If the answer is no to #1 and private sector for #2 then I dont agree with the law. It is not anyone's business. If the state wants to make it illegal then fine, let the doctors move to states where it is legal.
And if you are against abortion it is your job to personally pay more in to help these children.

I am prochoice, but I always find it amusing when liberals cry foul over the publication of abortion doctor's names (something I personally feel is wrong and believe the courts errored on), but they care less when the left outright slanders, writes false stories, takes words out of context, does selective editing and stalks conservatives. Many times they recklessly put conservatives life in danger and Daily Kommist and Huffingglue Post applaud the effort. They publish anything and everything on conservatives, including their home addresses. Yet they cry foul when the right publishes doctor's addresses.

Then they make the erroneous claim that abortion doctors are getting murdered left and right. In the last fourteen years only one abortion doctor was killed! He was the so-called late term abortionist. The most controversal characters in US abortion history. Prior to him the last doctor was murdered in 1998.

In US history only four doctors have been killed and four abortion clinic workers have been killed. Yes these deaths are tragic, but don't blow them out of proportion! More people were killed in Chicago over St Patricks day then in all the abortion clinics in US history! Yes abortion doctors should be free to do there job, but the left is outright slanderous when they say abortion doctors are getting getting killed often!

http://www.prochoiceamerica.org/assets/files/abortion-access-to-abortion-violence.pdf

Next this is a useless law. First, it has already been held constitutional to publize that names and addresses of abortion doctors! Planned Parenthood v. American Coalition of Life Activists the courts sided with the disgusting defendants in this sick case. It was held along the first amendment freedom of speech lines. If you're an abortion doctor you know that your name and address will be public, this law does nothing that isn't already done.

LASTLY, rdean is dishonest again. There is nothing about disclosing patient's names. Something like that would NEVER see the light of day! Rather the demographics of the clientele is to be disclosed. How dishonest can the left be to state general demographics = patient name!

You do realize that you've just created the biggest straw man ever right? Who, other than you, claims we only care about children while they are unborn?

What does the evidence say?

Abstinence-only don't always work...
States with ‘abstinence-only’ sex ed programs rank highest in teen pregnancies
Wednesday, April 11, 2012 - A study has shown that while the U.S. is currently enjoying a steady decline in the number of teen pregnancies, states with sex ed and health classes that stress “abstinence-only” education rank the highest in the numbers of underage pregnancies, according to a post at Think Progress.
The current rate of teen pregnancies, about 35 per 1,000 girls between the ages of 15 and 19, is the lowest on record since the CDC began to track these statistics in 1940. The CDC attributes the improvement to pregnancy prevention efforts and education. However, 37 states currently mandate that all sex education include information on abstinence, 26 of whom insist that abstinence be taught as the main method of pregnancy prevention. Studies have indicated that abstinence-only programs may end up deterring contraceptive use among teens who do have sex, whereas teenagers who have been taught a comprehensive sex ed curriculum are “60 percent less likely” to become pregnant or get someone else pregnant.

Additionally, a 2007 federal study indicated that abstinence-only education ultimately had “no impacts ” at all on rates of sexual abstinence. The two states with the highest rates of teen pregnancies are Mississippi and New Mexico. Neither state requires that sex ed be taught in schools. Mississippi law stipulates that when sexual education is taught, that abstinence be the main method of contraception proscribed by educators, whereas New Mexico has no rules about reproductive health criteria at all.

The state with the lowest rate of teen pregnancies is New Hampshire, which requires comprehensive sex ed in schools that includes information about condoms and other forms of birth control in addition to abstinence.
