GOP: All of a sudden, the TP is all for more govt spending/workers in schools

they will just want us to fire teachers to pay for the armed guards

No we can do away with the Department of Education, the NEA and few other worth less government agencies..see how easy that was to find the money

How much are you going to pay them for the service?

will you then send them to prison wen they cant stoop an attacK?

remember there was a deadly attack on a base too.

lots of guns and trained people there

Funny how this is playing out. The far right and Tea Party folks....for a couple weeks now have been preaching about an armed government worker in every school in America, and sending a police escort to every fire dept call to prevent another ambush, and putting armed gubmint workers in all malls and movie theaters, etc, etc, etc.

Funny how they throw out their less-government, less spending gosspil...when it comes to avoiding the gun debate.

Right wingers...you guys know to put an cop in every school, and send a cop on every fire dept call, and to spend the money to equip and train every teacher with a gun.......it means we will have to...wait for it...wait for it.......spend more tax dollars, increase revenue, and hire and pay even MORE GUBMINT WORKERS!!!!!!

So....Tea Party folks...right wingers of the world....are you gonna stick to principles now, or not?

You don't seem to understand Federalism do you? The idea of the tea party is fiscal responsibility at the federal level and return power and money back to individual and states.

Far as im concerned, just allowing adults to carry at schools would be fine. dont need to be security

Most schools have security already. How much do you think it's going to cost to allow them to carry a firearm?

In most towns and cities their animal control officers are armed to prevent attacks by vicious animals and irate pet owners seeking to do them harm.

So if we allow what used to be referred to as the "dog catcher" to carry a weapon on the job.

I fail to see the problem with arming firefighters, school principals, teachers, and EMT personal.

Heck, we don't even have to arm them. Just allow it so they can carry a concealed weapon. If they want to be armed, they can. If not, then that's fine too. Either way the killers wont know who is armed and who isn't so it will be a deterrant with that alone.

Dumb shit, it's the NRA. A constitutional watchdog organization just like the ACLU. Now don't you just feel stoopid?

I would also point out that NRA does not equal Tea Party, though I have no doubt much of the Tea Party supports the NRA much of the time.

The NRA plan is DOA because Congress will never appropriate the money for it.

Congress doesn't need to. It like most other things should be decided and funded at the local level. A school in Gotebo, OK probably doesn't need the same solution that an inner city school does.

I find it amazing that everyone simply assumes we have the Federal government do something instead of leaving it to the local governments, which exist for just this reason.

Right wingers don't know what they want. They are ignorant fucks. They want every pregnant woman "policed". They don't care about children after they are born. They want armed police in every school but are afraid of "communism" and government "control".

These people are idiots. It's plain. When we point out their positions, they say we are lying, and in the next breath, they repeat the "lie" as their position. Who knows what they mean?

I find it amazing that rightwing nuts around here can't read. Well, no I don't find that amazing.

LaPierre explicitly called for CONGRESS to appropriate the money. There was no assumption in what I said.

Then repeal the 2nd amendment and let state and local governments decide their own gun control policies, if you think they can do it so much better than the federal government.
