Has anybody heard that AMC is developing a Goodfellas TV show? It's supposed to involve Henry Hill's (Ray Liota's character in the movie) life in the witness protection program. Apparently, the screenwriter for the film and the author of the book (Wiseguy - excellent read) that the movie was based upon are involved. At first, I was skeptical, but after hearing the premise and learning of the involvement of those two people, I think they may be able to pull it off. Any fans of the movie or the book might be interested in reading the book, On the Run: A Mafia Childhood, by Gregg and Gina Hill, son and daughter of the real Henry Hill. It's their story of life with their father before and after they went into the witness protection program. It's a great read, and gives people a different look at Henry Hill. I suspect the TV show will draw from the book. At least, it should, IMO.
