Good Riddence Trey Gowdy, long time defender of the system.

Contrarily, he could be the next Attorney General. ;)

I could see him leading the next investigation into the Obama regime and Hillary Clinton's crimes.

A real investigation, not the phony one the FBI did for Hillary.

He did everything possible to prevent any real investigation into Hillary and Obama. He did everything possible to insure that the truth did not come out. Far from a Hero, he is nothing but part of the very machine we object to.

Trey Gowdy rose to fame screaming and souring Benghazi for everyone. All he did was run around screaming that an Ambassador died. If only that was all that had happened, I would have been relieved. But Gowdy never cared about the Ambassador, Gowdy was doing his job, defending the intelligence community and distracting from the real issue.

A friend lauded Gowdy at the time, and I told her that it was the distraction. With every intelligence operation, there was always a distraction. Something to cover up the real issues. With Benghazi, it was that the United States was violating international sanctions to ship weapons to Libya, and then using Libya to ship weapons to Syria. Yes, we ginned up both Civil Wars.

Today of course, Gowdy is exposed as a vocal defender of the improprieties of the Government. Specifically he is one of the few voices out there screaming that the FBI was doing a damned fine job being little more than a political tool of the Democratic National Committee. He is one of the few Republicans defending the FBI as just a bunch of great professionals.

I’ve read that Trey Gowdy is not running for reelection. I say great. It shouldn’t be hard to find the next person who takes up the mantle of the distraction, the one who becomes the voice of the cover up, all you have to do is listen and wonder why.

With Benghazi, the actions of Gowdy kept people from asking the obvious question. Why was a CIA special operations team in Benghazi? Why was the Ambassador there in the first place? Gowdy screaming about the cover up, and the inaction that led to the death of Ambassador Stevens kept people from wondering why the Ambassador was there in the first place.

Good riddance Congressman Gowdy. The world will be better off if you are out of office. Lord knows the nation would be better served by anyone else. Perhaps the next person might actually care about truth, because you damn sure don’t.

Notice that ALL sane folks are turning against you morons??.LOL

So now Gowdy is one of your heroes? Interesting, since you denounced him in 2015 for Benghazi investigations.

I say Gowdy did what he was supposed to to cover up the real scandal. The fact that Hillary in violation of sanctions sent weapons to Libya. But hey, what are a few international sanctions? Gowdy covered it up screaming about Ambassador Stevens, and you hated him then. Now, of course, he’s a hero in your eyes. From lunatic McCarthyite to awesome anti Trumper.

He was always a lying douche in my book.

I believe you're right. I was confusing him with Louis Gomert for some reason.

He is part of a mass exodus in Congress. I thinks it’s because that “me too” list will hit the press election 2018

Gowdy has stopped toeing the RWnut line by about a quarter of an inch, and whoops!

there he goes under the bus.

no. they don't notice. they don't get it. and they don't care. because the morons have convinced themselves that if you tell them the truth, it's a conspiracy.

it's like a contagious mental illness.

Seriously? Is that what your leftist media is telling you?

Wow. You guys are really out of the loop. :laughing0301:

You support Gowdy's assessment of the memo?

As an attorney, politician, former federal prosecutor, a District Attorney, and chair of several congressional committees? Of course I do. The memo laid it all out succinctly and leaves the door open for a serious investigation, which will be forthcoming.

the memo was BS. The "memo:" as Donald's boy Chris Reye said... HAD MATERIAL OMISSIONS which made it dishonest;.

a class in logic and reasoning would probably be helpful to you. do they offer one in your high school?

Other than a bad haircut Gowdy seemed to be everything republicans voters wanted in a congressman. Maybe he was fed up with timid and RINO establishment republicans.

Contrarily, he could be the next Attorney General. ;)

Better him than Sessions.

yes, but probably not for the reasons you think.........
Gowdy has stopped toeing the RWnut line by about a quarter of an inch, and whoops!

there he goes under the bus.

because trump morons are scum who aren't interested in reality.... or the rule of law

funny thing is gowdy was a huge freaking hack/... and that still isn't good enough for trumpscum

It's funny to hear "the rule of law" coming from someone like yourself, who supported a presidential candidate and previous administration who had little or no regard for the rule of law.

why is that, pscyho boy:? I am a firm believer in the law.

you seem to have the candidates backwards. wacko.

Whether or not you are a "firm believer" in the law is irrelevant because you support political candidates who sought to gain power by not only circumventing the law, but by grossly and willingly disobeying the law.

That makes you a criminal by association.

again.. no ... YOU do. but please keep lying.

Anyone who thinks that the Clinton Campaign thinks well of James Comey or the FBI, on any number of scores, is sadly mistaken. Comey’s re-opening of the email Investigation in the days leading up to the election were the final straw for the Clinton campaign.

Comey talked publically about the Clinton Investigation, politicizing it, but told the public nothing about the ongoing investigations going on against members of the Trump campaign.

Republicans politicized the FBI and now seem to be complaining that the FBI stubbornly continues to do its job and go after corruption on both sides.

How the fuck do you JUMP from one extreme to another?

NO, Gowdy is not anyone's hero (well, maybe his mother)...He just told the truth on this issue......

If telling the truth makes someone a hero, what the hell is the matter with you following the biggest fucking liar to ever infest the oval office?

You don't give a damn about the truth. You are a crazy conspiracy theorist. You need to be in a padded cell.

Obama violated the War Powers Act by not consulting with Congress regarding going to war in Libya after so many weeks. Obama then glibly said, it's not a war so they don't have to be notified. After all, the man won a Nobel Peace Prize so how could it have been a war he started?

Then the GOP railed and railed about how he had violated the War Powers Act, doing nothing other than screaming about it saying he should leave Libya. However, when it came time to fund the Libya operation they quieted down and voted to stay.

Gowdy is retiring from Congress to do what he loves...be a prosecutor. Don't be at all surprised if the people he ends up prosecuting are named Clinton and Obama.

Obama sent Susan Rice out to lie before the election about what precipitated the Benghazi attacks. Central to Romney's campaign were his claims that Obama did not appreciate the danger of Russia and he'd given free reign to Muslim terrorists. And the facts are we're paying for all that today ... with Vlad and the Oranguton, and a Alt-R emergerence in Germany after the refugee crisis, and Vlad emergent in Ukraine.

Yeah, Gowdy's lame attempts to say Hillary didn't rescue our poor embassy guys were lame. Imo, basically, the GOP made their point but belabored it. Romney ran a shitty campaign as a nice guy, and Obama's guys brought guns and razors to the party ... as Chicago guys do.

Hillary didn't rescue our embassy guys. She was too busy trying to mitigate potential damage to her upcoming bid for the Presidency. There was a cover-up...and then there was a cover-up of the cover-up. Of course that cover-up ended up exposing Hillary Clinton's use of private servers to run her pay for play schemes at the State Department which ended up costing her the election when the American people learned how crooked she was.
