People do not realize how dangerous such actions are.

In a recent thread where a mentally ill black man was kicking a girl in the head while she was down, I pointed out that that could easily have killed the girl.

If this was some sort of mutual combat, and the man did not intend to kill, and this is a first offense, then 8 years might be reasonable....
