Georgetown co-ed: Please pay for us to have sex …

I keep asking myself 'Where is this woman's parents?' ... She obviously has no self control and has no problem airing her personal issues for the whole nations amusement.

What of Georgetown? Is there something that says that while attending you are a representative of the university? This woman's obvious lack of common or even uncommOn sense doesnt speak well for the university or it's law program

Did you listen to Fluke's testimony? She said a lesbian girlfriend of hers got a big cyst on her ovaries because she could not afford the Pill.

How do you reconcile this with what you are saying?

I'm not being argumentative, but there is some kind of disconnect somewhere that I am not seeing the nature of.

Ovarian cysts do not happen because you're NOT on the pill. They can happen while on birth control. Most go away without treatment. Very weak argument by Ms. Fluke.

What is it exactly, Rush? Seriously.

Is it some kind of pathological need for attention? Or is it just a fundamental lack of respect for women? Or is it some kind of conservative need to keep women 'in their place?'

Regardless of what the motivation is, women should take notice of these attitudes of prominent conservatives if for no other reason than because if THIS is what they'll say in public, one has to ask what they really think in private.

And this is true with numerous voting blocks. Conservatives run around bashing everyone in the electorate who isn't a member of their conservative club, and then they want to convince people that they should vote for their candidate. How nonsensical is that?

Did you listen to what she said?

She basically wants taxpayers to pay for her contraceptives while she's in college.

If you can't buy your own damn contraceptives then I suggest you abstain from having sex.

Geez... liberals are plain fucking stupid!

The fact that she's a college student is irrelevant...unless, that is, you (and other conservatives) support selective discrimination because she's not married. And frankly, that's what a great number of people tend to believe. Just come out an admit it.

You're right. I don't give a shit if she's a college student. I'm not interested in paying for ANYONE to fuck.

That girl sounded like the biggest whiney idiot.

Both control pills are dirt cheap stupid skank now shut the hell up.

Especially since her friends ovaries are HER problem, not mine or anyone else's.

I have talked about "liberal" and its affect on society for a long time.
This is proof positive" for all to see. I only wonder what percentage of girls ages 14-30 in this country are the sluts?
My guess is 80% based on the good old 80/20 rule.
Those same girls after 30 are most likely in the: I was a slut stat room.

The stat room is for single mothers on the dole who have become a drag on society. They are most likely to be fat and shower only 3 times a week. No man want's them.
They are clearly part of the Democratic voting machine. "losers"

This is about the far left of the Democratic party who want to force their ideology onto the conservative ideology and it must be done their way and their way only and to hell with the 1st amendment.
The far left hate our Constitution, and they hate the church.
It was very blatant when the Liberals at House Oversight Committee had the hearing about the 1st amendment. They tried to make it a woman's health issue. Then they got up and left. They did not want to even hear about it, or even want to listen to the other side of the issue.
If they would have stayed and listened, they would have found out that the Catholic insurance covers contraception when it is a health issue.

Man.....

I want to stick around here through November so I can mock you nutters for your poor political representation.....but the absolute dishonesty and desperate anger that oozes from so many of your posts is making it a tough go.

You guys are so opposed to accepting facts and so dug in with your outrage.....both real and fake....that it isn't even that much fun to watch you squirm.

Try asking yourself "Where are this woman's parents". Maybe you'll be able to answer if the question isn't childish pablum.

Heck, perhaps this mindless twit and the rest of the womens "health" lobby believe that insurance companies should cover the cost of dinner, roses, wine, bubble bath, lingerie, porno and lube as well..........

It takes a mindless village after all......................

Ms. Fluke angry at the idea that she be 'forced' to attend another (less pretigious) university that would pay for contraceptives, or be 'forced' to abstain. Apparently she doesn't think women have the ability to 'just say no' and they have a right to casual sex, paid for by others:

"We refuse to pick between a quality education and our health and we resent that, in the 21st Century, anyone thinks it’s acceptable to ask us to make that choice simply because we are women,” Fluke said.

"Ms. Fluke, Iresent that you think women are incapable of controlling themselves, of sacrificing temporary pleasure for the sake of long-term success. You make us sound like animals, slaves to our instincts and able to be used, but we’re better than that. We’re persons, equal to men in dignity and love."

Georgetown co-ed: Please pay for us to have sex … We’re going broke buying birth control « Hot Air

She is an Ambulance chasing Charlatan.

the same argument could be said about the far right of the conservative party.

now i have to agree that Fluke's quality of argument is extremely lacking. she could have worded it much better. be that as it may, as it currently stand, if you currently have and pay a premium on health insurance, you already help for these medications and services. i think the huge misconception is that everyone believe that contraception is simply going to be given away for free to anyone and everyone because of the health care mandate. this is misleading. when they say "free" it technically is not free in the pure sense of the word. it is meant to say that it is included in the price of your premium. thus a health care provider cannot charge a separate co-pay or fee for providing contraception. is this really that big of a problem?

A couple of weeks ago, Obama explained his policy this way:

"The insurance company – not the hospital, not the charity – will be required to reach out and offer the woman contraceptive care free of charge, without co-pays and without hassles. The result will be that religious organizations won’t have to pay for these services, and no religious institution will have to provide these services directly. Let me repeat: These employers will not have to pay for, or provide, contraceptive services. But women who work at these institutions will have access to free contraceptive services, just like other women, and they'll no longer have to pay hundreds of dollars a year that could go towards paying the rent or buying groceries."

exactly, "free of charge, without co-pays and without hassles". as in included in the price of your insurance. not an extra. if you dont have insurance, you cant walk in and get it for free. there are other services for that like planned parenthood.

indeed it is not free...........everyones insurance premiums will increase to pay for something that the individual should be purchasing..................how clear does it have to be ?

It wasn't a compromise at all.
Obama switched it from employer to insurance.
Catholic employer's are also the Insurers.
So they still have to pay for it.

Are you really trying to say that under Obama's plan birth control will not be free? Hell he said it in his own words!!!

NO CO-PAYS. NO DEDUCTIONS, NO HASSLES!!!

this is currently how the system is already set up. this is the essence of insurance. when you pay your premiums, and do not use services you are already subsidizing other peoples medications and services. so you already technically pay for other medications such as aids meds, heart meds, etc, as well as other services, mammograms, surgeries, abortions, etc etc.
let me as you this.... are you currently protesting your health care provider or calling them on a daily basis to confirm that your premium dollars arent going to any other programs or services you disagree with?
