Israel’s military said it was assessing the claim, while relatives said they were “waiting for the news to be confirmed or hopefully refuted soon” about the family members, who have become leading faces of the hostage crisis.

By 1948 the Jews had bought almost 7% of the land.

There was no conflict in 1913. The Arabs fought with Allenby to chase away the Ottomans.

The Jewish Palestinians were a minority. They spoke Arabic and shared in the existing culture. They weren't immigrants from Europe.
