Higher gas prices means higher prices for EVERYTHING ELSE hun. As shipping prices go up, so does the prices on EVERYTHING else. Meaning the higher much higher food, energy, rent, mortgage and other prices that we see now is not going to be anything to compared to what it is going to be. Under Carter, higher fuel prices lead to massive inflation where most people suffered. Bidens inflation is already much worse and by the years end will be unsurvivable for many.

When the oil is refined in the US and competes with oil produced by bad countries it benefits America

when any oil is produced in America (or sent to American refineries from canada) it should tend to reduce the price of gasoline and fuel oil

Yes, but that doesn't include tarsands from Canada. The Chinese have invested 22 billion in their tarsands. They can't make a profit unless they take advantage of the free trade zones and sell it overseas.

Well, even if it's sold overseas, more global oil in the markets would tend to make all oil cheaper. Even without Putin's invasion and sanctions, oil was going up because of worldwide demand post-pandemic.
