Franken may be considering a senate run

 I hope he does run, and gets his dick stomped in the dirt.

Sorry, had to say it.

Too early to tell whether he is serious or just joking around yet. I think its rather hilarious that he seems to think he has a serious shot. I have a feeling by 2008 Minnesota will be heavily trending Republican. I don't foresee Democrats getting back the seat they lost with the Wellstone memorial any time soon.

I look forward to his run for president in 2020. He can get Ben Stein as his running mate. :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:
Sorry.

Hillary's already got 2016 & 2020 sewn-up.

After winning election by the narrowest of margins in 2008, Sen. Al Franken looked like one of the GOP’s most inviting Senate targets in 2014. But instead, the party is facing the reality that Franken is proving to be a much more resilient opponent than expected, and his uncontroversial first term is raising doubts about whether Republicans can even recruit a first tier candidate against the former Saturday Night Live funnyman.

I guess this is the REAL Al Franken Decade.

Franken has quickly established himself as one of our hardest working Senators

What possible reason could there be to dredge up a 7 year old thread? What half-wit lacks the imagination to start a new topic and thus has to pull this corpse of a thread from it's grave?

He has turned out to be very effective in congress. That's why you nutters are whining about this.

Tough.

Deal with it already and just quit all the whining.

I admit. I underestiminated the foolishness of people and the level of corruption in the state government that allowed Franken to literally manufacture votes out of no where to win a close race. What can I say? I was half a decade younger.

You MUST be joking.

There it is - when Republicans lose, the people are morons. When Republicans win, the people are patriots.

You're a liar.

No. I am not. You just can't admit that Franken had the counters manufacture votes that werent there for him to win.

And. No, the people were fools, not morons. Unfortunately there are more of them than I'd like. Our society is becoming more and more corrupt. And if we don't change ourselves, we are in for some terrible consequences. We are already seeing some of the negative fruits of our culture. Unfortunately, people don't see the real causes and want to place bandaids over serious problems instead of doing the difficult things nececessary to address them.

Rather than take responsibiliy for things in your life, you want to turn those responsibilities over to the government. I would like more responsibility. I would like to govern myself, not turn it over to others. Especially when those people we are turning to in government cant even govern their own actions and passions.

And no. hjmick wasn't joking. Why would he be? You are more concerned with digging up threads from half a decade ago then dealing with the reality of now. And while I am completely flattered you thought it necessary to dig up one of my posts from years ago, it really isn't relevant to today's issues. You aren't proving anything by doing it.

You can admit to being one more "conservative" who'd starve, as a political-psychic....and, you're going back to NASCAR, where you belong.

Mittens never was all-that-comfortable, in-front-of crowds.....

Prove it. I live in MN. I paid careful attention to the multiple recounts including hand recounts with observers from both sides. When Coleman appealed-the judge threw it out. The Coleman team continuously tried to disqualify legitimate ballots. This was the most transparent process imaginable. Coleman himself knew he lost and decided to concede. It was not a corrupt process but a very fair and thorough one.

Why can't the rw admit when someone loses and they are wrong about it instead of just throw wild accusations out and live in a world of denial?

Al Franken has been a very effective Senator and I have no doubt he'll easily win his seat back in 2014.

I've actually talked to the guy-he's one hell of a smart guy. The very first thing he did was try to get more services dogs for Veterans suffering from PTSD.
