FOX Turning Left

Weird Hair going toe-to-toe with Miss Clairol was about the only thing of interest produced in all of the debates combined. Now, it looks like the rematch might be canceled!

GOP presidential front-runner Donald Trump might skip Thursday's debate on Fox News Channel and hold his own televised town hall at the same time if the network doesn't drop Megyn Kelly from its team of moderators, his campaign manager tells New York magazine's Gabriel Sherman.

Trump has been calling on Fox News to drop Kelly, who is scheduled to moderate with two other Fox anchors, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier. The trio moderated the first GOP debate of the season, in which Kelly and Trump sparred over a question about his treatment of women.

Trump May Skip Fox Debate for Own Town Hall

Put this earthshaking report in the WHO CARES file.

Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity, Greta Van Susteren, Shepard Smith, Bret Baier, Eric Bolling, Neil Cavuto, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Laura Ingraham, Geraldo Rivera, Juan Williams, Jeanine Pirro, Bo Dietl, Monica Crowley, all of the Fox and Friends hosts, and at least 50 Fox News contributors are willing to depart the network if Ailes is ousted, and leave with him to form a new network, one of the network’s anchors told Breitbart News late Tuesday.

Oh yeah, Americans really need another network full of parasites feeding on tax deductible advertising dollars.

After the marshmallow flap dies down it is still television; the most destructive industry in today’s America telling Americans what they should believe.

Second: Channel serfing stunned me when I saw Juan Williams pop up more than usual. I’m outta there whenever I see him, but his demeanor in a few seconds told me that those few legitimate journalists on panels have to treat him with the same respect liberals get on the alphabet networks.
I always sensed that Brit Hume was the one guy who never, ever, rolled over for FOX liberals whenever they laid down crapola. Juan Williams will get worse now that his new bosses have his back; so it will be interesting to see if Hume has Williams "On the Record":

Fox News host Greta Van Susteren will be leaving Fox News after 14 years at the network.

Brit Hume will take over as the anchor for "On the Record."

Fox has always been slightly left of center.
To Darkwind: Slightly is an understatement.
FOX news has always been Neoconservative, i.e. pro Pax Americana, pro military aggressive policies, pro globalism and Open Borders.

Under the new leadership FOX will simple drop any pretense at giving Middle Class Americans news and information that they can use against the Corporate Network Cronys in DC.

Brit Hume is another Neocon just Like Krauthammer. He often has good points but they are always more than canceled out by his corporate lap dog perspective on everything and his blathering hatred of conservative populism.

pro Pax Americana, pro military aggressive policies, pro globalism and Open Borders.
To JimBowie 1958: The non sequitur Pax Americana contradicts pro-globalism and open-borders. You cannot have it both ways:

To JimBowie 1958: Hume, Krauthammer, etc. smell like roses when they are judged against flaming liberals.

The phrase "Pax Americana" is a take off on "Pax Romana" for the roughly 200 years of peace that the Roman Empire had from about 30 BC to 130 AD.

Pax Romana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Arthur M. Eckstein writes that the period needs to be seen in contrast with the much more frequent warfare that occurred in the Roman Republic in the 4th and 3rd centuries BC. Eckstein also notes that the incipient Pax Romana appeared during the Republic and that its temporal span varied with geographical region as well: "Although the standard textbook dates for the Pax Romana, the famous “Roman Peace” in the Mediterranean, are 31 BC to AD 250, the fact is that the Roman Peace was emerging in large regions of the Mediterranean at a much earlier date: Sicily after 210 [BC]; peninsular Italy after 200 [BC]; the Po Valley after 190 [BC]; most of Spain after 133 [BC]; North Africa after 100 [BC]; and for ever longer stretches of time in the Greek East".[3]

The first historical record of the term Pax Romana appears to be in a writing of Seneca the Younger in 55 AD.[4] The concept was highly influential, being theorized upon and attempted to be copied in subsequent ages. Arnaldo Momigliano noted that "Pax Romana is a simple formula for propaganda, but a difficult subject for research."[5] In fact, the "Pax Romana" was broken by the First Jewish-Roman War, the Kitos War (also in Judea, 115-117), the Bar Kokhba Revolt (also known as the Third Jewish-Roman War), the Roman-Parthian War of 58-63, Trajan's Roman-Parthian War of 113, and Boudica's war in Britain in AD 60 or 61.

"Pax Americana" is similar in that by the use of small wars that are thought of as not really wars, the peace is maintained against large scale war. For this you need to be able to bring to bear overwhelming military power.

Pax Americana - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pax Americana[1][2][3] (Latin for "American Peace", modeled after Pax Britannica and Pax Romana) is a term applied to the concept of relative peace in the Western Hemisphere and later the world as a result of the preponderance of power enjoyed by the United States beginning around the middle of the 20th century and continuing to this day. Although the term finds its primary utility in the latter half of the 20th century, it has been used with different meanings and eras, such as the post-Civil War era in North America,[4] and regionally in the Americas at the start of the 20th century.

Pax Americana is primarily used in its modern connotations to refer to the peace among great powers established after the end of World War II in 1945, also called the Long Peace. In this modern sense, it has come to indicate the military and economic position of the United States in relation to other nations. For example, the Marshall Plan, which spent $13 billion to rebuild the economy of Western Europe, has been seen as "the launching of the pax americana."

Our open borders and pro-globalism is merely a variation on empire with the entire globe as being seen as under American protectorate.

And the Neocons in private will say that this is Americas reason for existing, to enforce global peace and not just that but JUSTICE also. Never mind that our government is inherently unjust to its own citizens, never mind the rest of the planet.

To JimBowie 1958: Not so. The goal of the New World Order crowd is to put the entire world under a United Nations’ protectorate. Try to justify your argument after H.R. 75 is passed.

To JimBowie 1958: Democrats invented neoconservatism. Its meaning has been double-talked since the 1960s to the point of inanity.
Never mind that our government is inherently unjust to its own citizens,
To JimBowie 1958: That is hardcore liberalism. In short: Americans have an obligation to save the world with Socialism’s collectivism; i.e. the tax collector’s morality.
never mind the rest of the planet.
To JimBowie 1958: Exactly so. Speaking for myself, I am one archconservative who does not give a flying F for the rest of the planet.

p.s. Liberals want to save everything except individual liberties.

Apparently Greta Van Susteren quit because FOX did not feel like home anymore. At first glance it sounded like a lame reason:

Now, I am convinced that Greta was telling the whole truth. I cannot see how self-respecting journalists can feel at home on one more liberal network.
