The former player, Derek Wolfe, tracked it down & took it out with a bow. It had already killed multiple family pets in the area.
Impressive.

He is a 6'5" retired NFL defensive end & this mountain lion makes him look small!

Never spotted any around here but we have neighbors that caught a pic of one on a trail camera maybe 5 years ago.
Nothing like this monster though.

Newly retired NFL player Derek Wolfe amazed many of his Instagram followers when he posted a photo of a massive mountain lion he had killed in a rural Colorado town.

Wolfe stated before he killed the mountain lion, he heard from the locals that the big cat killed two dogs and was even spotted living under a local resident’s home.

The former Super Bowl champion for the Denver Broncos killed the big cat with a bow after tracking it down.

In 2011, a mountain lion that weighed 234 pounds was killed (legally) about a half mile north of my house. That one in the picture looks smaller than the one killed locally.

Our local mountain lion, P22, was just trapped and euthanized. As mountain lions age and get slow they look for pets and small humans to eat. P22 had several old injuries and was sick.
