Here is my final point. About drugs, about alcohol, about pornography and smoking and everything else. What business is it of yours what I do, read, buy, see, say, think, who I fuck, what I take into my body - as long as I do not harm another human being on this planet?
    ----

So all these things should be legal?

Because no one has the right to tell you what you can take into your body - because when you take these things into your body, YOU don't harm anyone?

Hey, I agree with that. For adults.

Fine, but then people must accept full 100% responsibility for those choices. Many people consider some of the things listed above to be harmful. If people want to do them, have at it; but don't complain, whine, expect financial help, blame anyone else, or sue, when you develop a serious problem, such as lung cancer or AIDS.

Or when your kids start doing the same, or worse.

But when people abuse it, and it does start to affect others - then what?

I have taken advanced driving courses. I do quite fine driving at 100 mph down the freeway.

Should it be legal for me and not for others?

Confucius say: bring it down to 79mph and you'll get hassled by the cops less and increase your gas mileage.

    Yes, that's correct.

Drinking doesn't harm anyone but myself. Drinking then driving puts other people at risk. Does this mean that drinking should be illegal? No, it means that drinking and driving should be illegal.

Ditto for the other drugs. You shouldn't be allowed to take mushrooms then operate heavy machinery.

If some guy takes LSD and then kidnaps a little girl, is his crime any worse than someone who doesn't take LSD and kidnaps a little girl? No. It's not the drugs that are the problem, or what should be illegal.
