There was none. Even if somebody tried it would have violated our US Constitution by banning a religion based on the actions of a few.

The difference of course is that priests gave zero indication they were possibly up to no good whereas any guy that desires to walk around like a woman is clearly mentally deprived. Another difference is if a priest did give clear indications something wasn't right, the Catholics would not be defending him or walking by his side in support.
