According to the article, 202,000 homeowners are described as ā€œmotivatedā€ to sell their homes. Motivated means they really need to sell it. And they need to sell it fast.


There are more ā€œMotivatedā€ sellers in Florida than any other state. And it is not surprising. Insurance costs have skyrocketed. Rising more than 100% in the last couple years. And expected to continue rising.

In response to this trend DeSantis has of course spent most of his time campaigning for President, and targeting homosexuals and their supporters. One must focus on what is really important.

Florida is showing more effects of climate change not to mention over development than just about any other state. Repubs are in denial as to rising sea levels, stronger storms and much higher temperatures. Before any goofball denier decides to contradict this post, the evidence is in the Insurance rates. The insurance rates are based on the increase of these Environmental hazards and the increased costs to repair the damage. These rates will only go higher and there ainā€™t a damn thing we can do about it EXCEPT make all the taxpayers foot the bill.

Florida used to have a robust state office of community development which idiot Republicans effectively neutered. This office made sure that when a development was approved it had the requisite concurrency and infrastructure to support the development. It kept Florida from having out of control urban sprawl. Floridaā€˜s development now is in the hands of local government and elected officials who are backed by big developers. Florida is now a basket case of haphazard development and sprawl is through the roof. Repubs and greedy developers are destroying the goose to take a few eggs of profit.

You do realize the housing market, nationwide, is not in great shape. Record high prices for real-estate hit the market during the end of pandemic time, and began trending downward in 2022. In contrast to today's rates, interest rates were extremely low during this period, which has led to a lack of supply on the real-estate market and cash buyers were prevalent. Why would anyone sell their home if they have a 2 - 4% rate, only to purchase another home at 6%+ interest rate?

Seems Obummer must be a MAGA moron according to you. You are aware he owns beach front property in Marthas Vineyard, are you not? Hmmm, he doesn't seem too worried.
