Nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with normalization of deviance. This sounds very encouraging. Kudos to the British for having the will to find solutions.
But along with that will come the negativity that's being created by the Trump clowns who usually just put down green energy developments for the sake of, well, just putting them down.
Or do they visualize a challenge to the 'god' nonsense? We'll learn soon enough.
America will fall further behind on green solutions because of attitudes that are being promoted by Trump. So here's the challenge to prove it:Nothing to do with Trump and everything to do with normalization of deviance.
Apple is a fast follower and it works for them. Forcing solutions that won't work to solve problems we don't have is not a good recipe for success.America will fall further behind on green solutions because of attitudes that are being promoted by Trump. So here's the challenge to prove it:
The Trumpers will demonstrate their negativity to all green solutions and this won't be an exception.
However, predicting that from them introduces a Catch-22 for them in being damned if they do and damned if they don't.
And relatively safe if they can ignore!
Flexible and cheap
Why do solutions not come from the Congo?Kudos to the British for having the will to find solutions

No, but you're not making a valid point either. There are ways of storing energy and the sun never sets on the British empire. Or for that matter, on the American empire either. If I point out that solar does not get generated more than 8 hours a day -- Am i being "a negative" or "Trump"??
I don't understand what you're trying to say.Not very good look to immediately discuss a national energy policy by forking up political patter -- is it?
No, it's not that simple that a 6th. grader could calculate that. There are many factors to be taken into consideration and more information is also required. Here's a question for Ya.. If solar only produces 8hr a day, how much MORE SOLAR POWER do you need installed to CHARGE STORAGE for the other 16 hours of the day? A 6th grader could figure this out..
Not in my educated opinion.Assume the grid demand is basically flat. Not a bad assumption for a large part of the year.
Sure! Let's talk about the fucking clouds. But of course the clouds are another variable too.TOMORROW -- we'll discuss what happens when the FUCKING CLOUDS ROLL IN for 4 days in a row or your panels are covered in snow/ice.
Is that negative enough for a TDS victim to address?

Of course not, Your "opinion" on this has YET to be educated. Not in my educated opinion.

And you've depleted probably 1/2 of medium sized LITHIUM mine to DO THAT.. Are you an environmentalist? You like digging up toxic chemicals by the MEGATON to make your solar fantasies WORK??
One small fact all of the green power people seem to overlook is that while Lithium is abundant in Earth's crust, Lithium is a very weak, toxic, and reactive metal that does not occur in nature in a natural, pure state. Massive amounts of material must be dug up and processed to extract out the desired Lithium, so we are talking about strip mining and processing on a scale we have not ever seen before, all with a significant environmental impact both on the surface and dust in the air made all the worse because even Lithium depletion of soil and sea will gradually damage the environment itself because it serves a subtle yet important function in nature chemistry, not to mention, of course, that China just happens to also be a huge source of Lithium! And you can be sure the Chinese are not going to spend one extra yuan worrying about pollution there.
For the most part, all we are doing with much of the supposed green energy now is trading one form of pollution and environmental damage for the other, except that, like fossil fuel, it may take several generations to begin to be forcibly confronted with it. Just imagine the waste from megatons of old, used and spent recycled solar panels and lithium-ion batteries!
IMO, a far more intelligent strategy would be to develop and use wind and solar for what they are best for as an adjunct to conventional energy sources while continuing to research and develop cleaner fossil energy too until a true green energy source can be developed and made practical, such as the hydrogen fuel cell and nuclear fusion. But physics teaches us that as far as our science is presently concerned, there are no free lunches--- there is no cheap, easy energy source we can use that doesn't come with one large impact or another of some kind on our environment.
I have usually found that those who scream loudest at the "uneducated" are themselves often usually the biggest fools. So WHY are these people even bothering to spend time whining that their "visions" are being held up by the uneducated and the meanies?
Analysis? That is a LOGICAL process. People are not educated anymore, they are indoctrinated, told WHAT to think, then sent forth into the world with keys wound tight to carry out a preordained political agenda. And the agenda now is oil bad - electric good. When they are arent investing any energy ANALYZING what they read?
Our own leaders are bought and owned now by powerful corporate interests and the oil people like the tobacco people are now out of favor. We are now going to be overrun with massive green energy investment and batteries until you are hip deep in them regardless of the real impact or utility,

Just imagine someone so stupid that they claim what is already being done cannot be done.
