1. True, the charge was falsification of business records.......relating to the hush money to Stormy. The FEC and USSC has said no crime for using your own money, here's Turley's man'splain:Trump isn't charged with paying hush money to Stormy, he's being charged with falsification of New York business records. The FEC has no bearing on business records and no the SCOTUS has not said business can ignore state business laws and can spend money how they wish and not properly account for it on their books.
He didn't try to "verify election results" he attempted to strong arm the Governor to find 11,780 (a very specific number, being 1 more than he needed to win) and then implied (using mob language) that if Gov. Kemp didn't find them he could be prosecuted.
I agree, I think this is the weakest case.
Ummm - "Ex Presidents" have 0, zero, nada, zilch rights to declassify documents.
I agree though, Trump will never see prison. Maybe home confinement for security reasons.

Bragg’s Legal Slurpee: The Trump Indictment is Designed for Instant Satisfaction Without Substance
Below is my column in the New York Post on the release of the indictment against former President Donald Trump. Warning: it has no legally nutritional content… Here is the column:

2. "Attempting" to strongarm "to verify" election results. We'll see how this plays out. Fani is in way over her head. I hope she needs to have 18 trials with several in Federal Court, Trump's last after all the evidence is known, in a Federal Court with a real jury.
4. Agreed ex-presidents can't declassify. Trump will claim that he declassified them as president before he left the WH. Pence had docs, Biden had docs, Hillary had docs and destroyed them, Sandy Berger stole docs and got caught, no one served any prison time. AG Barr said Trump violated the law, so we'll see how this plays out on appeal. Not sure if Berger got hit with a felony?
Berger lost his Law License, paid a $50,000 fine and did community service.
