Federal jobs pay more than private sector

For GM the accrued salaries and wages for 2009 were $862 million, the pay to the top executives was about $6.5 million.

The top exec pay is about 0.0075% pay of the entire pay.

You can eliminate all the top executives at GM and it's insignificant to total pay.

P.S. You are a douche bag.

2009 ANNUAL REPORT

It doesn't matter, for a large corporation, the the top pay only is a small part of the actual income for payroll.

The % of gross income paid in payroll vary's substantially depending on the type of business.

I own a service business and a vey large portion of our gross income goes to payroll.

CMike, no way do you have an MBA. You do not have a grasp of basic economic principles. Your business knowledge appears to be very limited.[/QUOTE]

It is quite obvious.
Judging from your answers you must be a sewer worker. That's the ticket.

To--add this minority executive pay for large private sector corporations--in no way reflects the millions of small business people --in this country that drive this nation--and are the majority employer in this nation. Only 5% of this entire population makes over 250k per year, and only 1% of this nation make over 300k per year. Chomp on those numbers for a little while--will ya.

And 0% of Government employees make over $250k

So instead of a few highly paid talented people government has an inordinate number of overpaid mediocre people.

If you notice CON$ weave their web of deceit using the same techniques over and over. Once you learn to recognize them they will never be able to deceive you again.

In this case it is telling enough truth and then shutting up or commonly called, "lying to your level of ignorance." What he left out was management gets more than just a wage or salary in their pay package. They get bonuses and stock options as part of their pay.

From your link:

"Management Profit Participation

To obtain long-term contractual commitment, Magna provides a compensation arrangement
to corporate management which allows for base salaries comparable to industry standards,
plus incentive bonuses, in total, of up to six percent of its profit before tax."

Ten percent of Magna’s qualifying profit before tax will be allocated to eligible employees.
These funds will be used for the purchase of Magna shares in trust for eligible employees
and for cash distributions to eligible employees, recognizing length of service.

This is why honest people see CON$ as pathological lying scum!!!

Again the pathological liar does not include bonuses and stock options!!! That $484 million is for one executive only over 8 years. Dividing by 8 you get $60 million per year, more than double the combined salaries of all the other employees!!!

In the first Congressional hearing into the financial crisis, the former CEO of the bankrupt Lehman Brothers, Richard Fuld, became the poster boy for Wall Street greed today as he defended the $484 million he received in salary, bonuses and stock options since 2000.

Nice try genius.

GM has not been making profit, so 6% of profit doesn't amount to anything :cuckoo:

Also non executives also overtime, pensions, severance packages, and other monies.

However just for arguement stake let's double how much GM top executives make. That would be $13 million compared to $862 million, that would be that would be 0.015% of the topal income.

Now let's triple how much the GM top executives make that would be $19.5 million out of $862 million which is $0.022% of the total payroll.

Basically what I am saying is that the top exec payments are insignificant to the total payroll income of these large companies. You can eliminate them completely and it's not going to mean much to the company.

That includes stock options and it's over 10 years. Not very honest, when we are comparing payroll expense annually.

Also, non top executives get bonuses too, and some have stock options.

In any case as far as I am concerned a company can pay it's executives or anyone else whatever they want. It's called freedom.

First of all, it was from 2000 to 2007, 8 years not ten and I divided by 8 to get the yearly average of $60 million.

And secondly and more importantly I said it included stock options, it was completely dishonest to leave them out in the first place as they are part of the PAY PACKAGE in the PRIVATE sector. And, as you admit, with non top execs get bonuses and stock options the pay packages throughout the private sector are higher than you or FAUX have used to claim private sector pay is less than gov pay.

But you know that and because it was essential to leave it out in order to make it appear that the private sector payed less than the government, it was premeditated on your part, as well as FAUX who started the ball rolling with their phony study, to dishonestly leave it out.
