FEC chair rebukes Trump over statements on accepting election help from foreign governments

What crime was obstructed?
It's "ONSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE". Not obstruction of crime. Obstruction of crime is what investigators do.
What crime was that, shit for brains?
Obstruction of justice. Not obstruction of crime. Dear God! What is so hard to understand? You're backing a criminal. A man who obstructed justice. A man who says he is open and willing to accept foreign interference in our elections. A man whose staff lies, openly commits crimes and, in some cases, have been incarcerated for their crimes.

What is the virtue of that?
Show us where he did that.
READ THE MUELLER REPORT FOR YOURSELF! FOX NEWS ISN'T GOING TO COVER THIS SO MUCH DUE TO THEIR BIAS. LEARN THE TRUTH THEOUGH YOUR OWN EFFORTS SO YOU CAN ACTUALLY BELIEVE IT.

Trump specifically obstructed justice and has been a compulsive serial malicious liar and dork.

When you say it it definitely sound stupid, as usual. Obstruction of justice also means obstructing an ongoing investigation

Well first of all Trump did not accept help from Russia to get him elected.
Second of all accepting foreign information is not foreign assistance.
Third the DNC and Hillary's campaign paid for foreign information to get dirt on trump.

Trump did not pay for it and he and his campaign did not accept that info and dismissed it.

No. According to you, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh and all the other apologists for The Donald.

Take the 1/2 hour, watch the video. I realize 400+ pages is far too taxing on your myopic outlook to dompreh me. Use the video to understand why people read you and shake their heads.

The Pres said he might listen and if it rises to the "The FBI" needs to know then pass it on. Sounds fair.

Greg

No. It sounds and is illegal and a crime.

Sad to see so many Americans who have no problem with such a serious crime.

I'm sure those same Americans would be totally up in arms if any democratic president did and said will do the same thing.

Trump accepted the help. And accepting assistance from foreign governments is wrong as it pertains to elections.

To obstruct an ongoing investigation is OBSTRUCTION OF JUSTICE. If that investigation reveals no crime, it must be able to conduct itself free of ONSTRUCTION.

Let's hear from McGahn. He is being kept from testifying.

There was no crime, how could anyone prove there was obstruction and why?
I don't think Trump should be impeached for obstruction, but do you keep asking the same question because you don't understand the legal answer or because you don't like it?
Does obstruction of justice reach the threshold of high crimes and misdemeanors? The very first article of impeachment against Nixon was obstruction.

Often said: it wasn't the crime but the coverup.

Same with Clinton. All he did was lie about consensual oral sex with an adult woman who wasn't his wife. That's not a crime. But lying about it under oath was and it was obstruction of justice.

Now the same people who screamed that it was all about obstruction of justice and not about the lie and oral sex, say obstruction of justice isn't illegal. It's incredible.

Dind't read the thread, since it's fake news; Trump never said 'election help', he said something quite different, so we know the OP is a liar and fraud right off without reading it. Nothing to see here.

Trump feeds you fake news and you suck it up because Trump is your white hope.

You get dumber by the hour. Haven't found that Great White Sugar Daddy yet, obviously.

Yet others in government do exactly that but because they call it opposition "research" its ok. Steele got his info from unknown Russian sources.... and what the hell was their motive? Well, we can actually see what their motive was. they have succeeded in disrupting the United States government. Yet as long as Hillary can peddle her sack of sour grapes shes perfectly content.

We aren't talking about opposition research. The dossier went to the FBI. Hillary has nothing to do with this. It's time to stop believing everything Trump says.

Dear IM2
Some of the conflicting issues going on
where Trump IS NOT THE SOURCE, but he is getting information from other sources just like we are

1. The contested conflicts over the Clinton-funded "FUSION GPS"
being the funding source behind the dossier, so that a normal court
would not have accepted "research" from such a politically biased source.

2. The contested "conflicts of interest" between Bruce Ohr's wife Nellie
being PAID by FUSION GPS in 2016 during the campaigns.

Again, normally having close relationships like this, along with
political financial ties would have raised red flags (except
when it comes to POLITICS, of course!).

3. In general, the arguments contesting that there was
NO REAL EVIDENCE in the dossier to merit FISA warrants.

Sure I agree with you that any of this information leaking out
and TRUMP is going to run off with it, and mouth off as if
it is ESTABLISHED FACT and the case is CLOSED. Of course
he is going to say that.

But that doesn't mean the information he is exaggerating came from him.

If there are BLATANT political conflicts and biases going on,
and if there was NOT sufficient evidence collected as normally
needed to obtain a FISA warrant, we should be able to research
that INDEPENDENTLY of what Trump mouths off about.

You are RIGHT that NOBODY can depend on what he says.
But on these points being contested as political conflicts
of interest, he is not the source to begin with.
