Well, I found this originally at extranosalley and they linked to the FBI table....violent crime and murder are down...check out the table...

Keep in mind more than 11.1million people now carry guns for self defense....


FBI 2014 Preliminary Crime Numbers Out Murder -6 Extrano s Alley more than a gun blog

Murder was down by 6 percent, rape by ten percent, robbery by 1-/3% and aggravated assault down by 1.6 percent.

Those numbers agree quite well with the estimates made from individual department press releases, and shuld change only slightly, if at all. Here is thekey table showing the five year crime trend: (Click on the tale for a clearer view)
